a commander sized 1911 that DOES NOT have a bull barrel. i'm lookin for one with a 4.25'' barrel and bushing. anyone other than Colt make these?

also, i really would rather not have the "firing pin safety" crap

they make a Champion, but it has a 4'' bull barrel unless i am mistaken...

does kimber make one? i thought all of theirs were bull barreled too...

No, the Champion is a standard type barrel. But I had one & it was a jam-a-matic. I also know of several **former** owners of Champions who had problems.

really? i called and emailed springfield and both answers were that the champion had a bull barrel...maybe older ones didnt?
