That's a darn good question.
They aren't on the C&R list as being C&R firearms. They are most likely not over 50 years old as I'm pretty sure they were made in the 1950's - 1960's. However, almost everyone who sells them has them listed as C&R qualified. I'd be interested to know for sure also. I have one I bought before I actually got my C&R license in the mail. |

I bought one from Aim Surplus about 6 months ago on my C&R liscense. Century still list them as a C&R gun, but they only have them in good condition with cracked stocks. Scott

It only matters if the BATF considers them to be C+R category firearms. Anyone else is irrelevant.

You have a good point but sadly the ATF published list isn't always up to date. If you look the last time it was published was in March. Calling the ATF is probably the best way to go but firearm retailers will (or should) know if they can sell a firearm as C&R or not. Some recent examples are the FR-8, the Yugo SKS, etc. |

I bought one from CIA and it was made in 1950 so it is for sure a C&R but I think they are considered a C&R weapon. If you want to know for sure call the ATF and ask them.

They aren't on the list because not all of them are 50 years old. Some FR-8s are already C&R, and others won't be for a few years.
