[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What is a Winchester FN. Police Special ?

I saw one of these at the last gunshow.It looked as good or even better than the Rem.PSS that was next to it.Anyone out there own one of these or can shed some light on this? Also anybody have a Win.M70 Coyote in .223?

Gun-Tests magazine recently tested one and gave it very high marks. Accuracy was outstanding, even with a chrome loned barrel.

Choose Police Rifle from the menu on the left side.
I was choosing between this rifle and the 700PSS. I ended up with the 700PSS because of the lower cost and I could get it in 300WM.

It is essentially a Winchester Model 70
short action with the "controlled round"
feed claw extracter. It utilizes a H.S. Precision aluminum pillar bedded stock.

The barrel is chrome lined which is unusual
for a sniper rifle.

Every review I've read indicates this .308
is easily capable of .5 MOA at 100yrds.
