If you move the front sight, the range graduations on your rear sight will no longer be correct. And, all things being equal, you are liable to have increased muzzle flash and blast with a shorter barrel. FWIW.

the front sight base is press fitted onto the barrel journal and cross pinned in place. there is no solder to worry about. drive out the 3mm pin and press off the fsb (hammer and brass drift also will work).

Slide it all the way back to the gas port fitting and mark the barrel 1/2" forward of that point. Cut there to duplicate the "Para" model's barrel.
Beware of the chrome bore, however, that you don't chip it at the muzzle and destroy what accuracy there is in this critter. -- Chuck |
