Anyone know anything about these?

Not listed on their website yet, but it is in their 2012 .pdf catalog.

I spoke with the owner, Chris, a few weeks ago via email and he mentioned they should be ready soon.

Just wondering if anyone had seen them in person or had any input on them.

I am interested. What is the price on the goggles?

Not sure, he quoted me around $2K for the housing with PVS-14 optics.  They have a PVS-14 and an ANVIS lens version.

What do you guys think, when will these be available in numbers?
and when will the kinks be worked out so you can buy one without
seeing 2 months later that they now ship with a better battery cap
or something like that (e.g. BNVD) ?

Do they have a version that takes PVS-14 tubes? Or just the optics?

I have received some info and pictures from the guys at Adams Industries... I am anxiously waiting to here a firm price, I have a complete ANVIS setup that would swap right into this great looking housing!

The price includes the optical assemblies? Or the price is for the version that takes PVS14 optics? If $2K is for the housing and optics that's a screaming deal considering you can't find BNVD housings for sale and the PVS-15s (I've heard) run $4K+.

Could you post those pictures?

Do these accept an external battery pack like the PVS-23s? I couldn't tell from the mockup in the catalog.

If they can make these more affordable than current dual bino systems complete with tubes and in a Kit (no tubes) for do-it-yourself type folks like me  I think they could sale a ton of them!  I mean like own the commerical market for a dual Bino system ton of them. Last time I priced a PVS-15 kit it was like $4000. I know you have twice the optics and so on to affect price, but when you can buy two complete PVS-14 housing for less than $2000 or three PVS-14 housing for less than $3000????

$2K was for the housing with PVS-14 optics.  The ANVIS version without optics was going to be around $1500.

Now I have to decide whether to get the PVS-14 version, or get the ANVIS version and strip the optics off of my NVM-2AA and pick up another set of lenses from ABnightvision.

I'd like to see pics of the final version of the Sentinel.  When I spoke to them last, they had just made some changes and didn't have any current pics.

ETA: Those prices were 2 months ago, so they very likely could have changed with the new revisions

I will post pics as soon as I talk to them and get permission... I don't want to release anything to the public domain without their permission!

I'm assuming based off the catalog they use MX10160 tubes. Would be nice if there was a MX-11769 tube variant so those with dual PVS-14s could upgrade the housing.

Don't you ALREADY have a high end set of dual NODS

Now, how does one come across decent, but less expensive MX10160 tubes?

DAYUM the tan / dovetail version looks nice

now, who's gonna buy my two BNVD-housings so I
can start to fund this project...what would be a realistic
asking price for a BNVD w/o tubes, non-variable gain
version?

Out of curiosity, why would you choose these over the BNVD?

well, I might have gotten carried away a little bit...

I'll wait for a review of the Sentinel, of course. it looks like the
lateral distance between the tube bodies is adjusted with a little
knob on the sides of the "shelf" just like the AVS6/9, I like that a
lot. never use the BNVD with one side flipped up, anyways...
I like that adjustment, I like the color, AND I think I read the Sentinel
is made from aluminum? I'm really interested in hearing about how
that turns out!

I can only imagine that cost would be dependent on the tubes you put in them.

The housing can't cost more than a couple thousand at most if you take a look at similar googles, but depending on what tubes you put in it that's gonna be the biggest factor. A couple aviation-spec tubes are gonna run you some change, or you could spend $900 each on some spotty non-catalog spec tubes and have an ok set of goggles for putzing around for 4 grand.

I emailed today they are getting real close to release still testing to make sure everything is perfect. There's several cool goggles on the market one thing I really like about these is not only the design but the fact Adams NV as a company is very interested in making them available for home builders as well. The Sentinel can be used to upgrade wore out ANVIS systems or just simply a upgrade to a stronger ground style housing, if you have tubes already you can just buy the housing, or you can buy a complete system With new tubes your choice. That may sound simple but it's choices not available for many dual tube systems or atleast at a realistic price.

+1

I've spoken with Chris, the President of Adams Industries, a few times via email and he's been great about answering my questions and dealing with me bugging him about when they'll be available.  I'm really excited to get my hands on one of these housings, hopefully not much longer to go.

Missed this thread the first time around.

May be a dumb question, but I have never done a DIY NVD project...would I need two "donor" PVS14s to make this happen? I have one so far...

It really depends which type tubes these systems will use. Reading the media it appears they will come in MX10160 and MX11769(varibale gain)  tube formats if that is true than yes two PVS-14 tubes would work in this bino.

The .pdf brochure from Summit does list manual gain control as an option.

They seem to have everything covered as far as being adaptable for whatever a builder might want or already have on hand.  Auto/manual gain control, PVS-14/ANVIS objectives, dovetail/ball-plunger mount.  These things are awesome!
