Here's to the resurrection of one of the most epic threads in history!

I think that pistol has been through more abuse (science?) than any on Earth. I will be impressed as hell if it works.

You are the reason I bought my Glock. I was a hater.
I don't like shooting it as much as other guns, I don't care for the ergos, but I can live with them, but knowing the damn thing is going to survive just about anything is something that is comforting and more than makes up for my personal dislikes. Archive link here |

The one thing I would have done differntly was run a brush through the bore a couple of times and shot it right there to see what would happen. If it didn't look too safe to shoot, I'd set up a locked rest and set up a 10' line to yank the trigger. Fascinating nevertheless.

I would have just cleaned the barrel, loaded a mag, and shot it.
I'm sure it'll work. Here's to the rebirth of a internet gun legend! May your '21 run forever! |
|
That was like seeing a kid get killed and running to embrace my own!

I would have liked too, but since it was being left beyond my control I buried it in my suburban backyard. Gun shots(unsuppressed) are not something I could get away with |

Yes! I was an avid reader of the old thread. This is gonna be good.

I remember seeing the video long before I was into shooting or a member of this site. A glock is in my near future.

That is a cute Dog you have there.
And all these guys with their PVC pipe threads! |

Great to see this old story return. You should name it Lazarus.

I watched the video...
I though everyone knew that you were supposed to bury a magazine with the gun. Looking forward to the test fire. |
|
I'd like to see post rust remover pics and the video of you shooting it. |
|
bigbore, I bought a Glock21sf because of your thread. I guarandamntee you that Glock has made tons of money off your tests.

what is teffiner? Tennifer. It's the protection that Glock uses on it's firearms. It's amazingly tough, and this test proves that Tennifer will indeed take being shot (bigbore actually locked his g21 in a vise and shot the slide several times with a .22 rifle) and that it will leave the tennifer intact. It continues to amaze me in it's toughness. The only pistols I own are Glocks because of things like this. |

HK has an excellent finish on it too. "It's called, iirc, a "harsh environment finish" or something like that. I don't know what sig uses. I just have bad luck with HKs, I hate the way sigs feel, Glocks are wierd to get used to, but once you do, they're magic. I love all mine. |

I'm so in. I so loved the abuse dealt earlier. I mean, he threw it out of a freaking plane.
Yea, I bought some glocks in response. |
|
I am so in.
ETA: Whats with the "Message text too short" thing? |
