How do you carry spare ammo for your CCW revolver?  Speed loader, Speed Strip, or Other?  Also, do you carry the spare ammo on your belt or in your pocket?

I currently carry speedloaders. That's going to change when I convert the gun(or I may send it off, depends on how much free time I have) for use with moon clips.

I use a speed strip for my 442

My round gun is a bug to one of my 1911's...as such, I carry speedstrips in my watch pocket.

Depends on how I'm dressed. I use speedloaders for loose fitting clothes or carry 2 or more speedstrips when in jeans.

If I carry the Taurus Ti85, then just speed strips. Speed loader doesn't work with the rubber grips.
3" Model 65 I take one speed loader(front pocket), a speed strip(back pocket) and a 2x2x2 on the belt.

Speedloaders. Sometimes a Speed Strip to go with the, though.

342ti here

I carry speedstrips. I like the fact that you can pop a couple off easily to recharge. Easier to conceal too.

YMMV

All of the above.

Speed strips always, speedloaders for general outdoors adventure.

J-frame: speedstrips, they're just easier to conceal and (to me at least) just as fast as speedloaders.

N-frame for hunting/hiking: speedloaders, just because they don't make speedstrips for .44mag.  That said, the rim size on .44mag/special is just about identical to that of the .303British rifle round, so a Lee Enfield stripper clip will hold five rounds of .44.  It's not too secure and not real fast, but will work in a pinch for those who need to carry five rounds of .44 in a flat package, like as a reload for a 696 or 396.

How exactly do you use speed strips?  I've never used them before.

do you just pull the rounds out and load individually or how does it work?

Insert the rounds into the cylinder two at a time (2,2, then 1 for a five shot) and peel them off from the speed strip. After only a few times you can get really fast at it.

I have three Ruger Super Redhawks, and will only use what I have since they came out- HKS speed loaders...  Solid and dependable like an anvil, and not prone to shedding bullets.  My life depends upon their reliability, so I take 'em seriously.

Safariland Comp-2s.  Just a push and they rounds drop in, no twisting necessary.

+1

I just bought some Comp-1's for my new J-frame, and I will definitely be carrying my reloads in these.

I use both when carrying a revolver.

HKS, and of course Bianchi strips.

And I NEVER load single rounds in the thing when at the range--I ALWAYS use the strips and the loaders, to always maintain that "habit".

I removed some material on the Santoprene grips of my Taurus 650  to use the speedloaders a little easier.  Works great.
