Other than marketing what exactly is supposed to be the difference between these and the xpb's?

These bullets expand amazingly well, but it's interesting to note that in .40 and .45 the lighter rounds do not penetrate the 12" minimum, yet the light 9mm does seem to penetrate sufficiently.  Color me skeptical but I still think I prefer 147 gr.

I noticed the velocities listed are under 1k FPS for the160gn .45ACP and over 1K for the 185gn. Wonder if they used a different barrel length for each, doesn't say what was used. The 160gn bullet I thought was used in the .45GAP cartridge?

EDIT: Just realized it lists the 2 different bullets as 45 Auto, not 45 ACP. The 160 is I assume .45GAP, the 185 .45ACP.

The Tac-XP and XPB are the same as far as I know.
45 auto and 45 acp are the same.
I too wish they would have the handgun used or barrel lenght as well.
I am  also curious to know whose loading of the bullets these are, I didn't see it anywhere.

....... Now if you could come up with some reloading data on them, apart from the standard three loads Barnes lists, you would be my hero!.......

This is amazing as it is - dream information for me would be deformation thresholds for each weight, but this is still great info, thanks for getting it Zhuk

doubletap lists the 160 .45 acp at 1200 fps or so.

The color of the box the bullets come in and the fact that most of the XPB line is now "hunting" bullets.
