What is a fair current market price for the Beretta 92FS? What about the M9?

I'm wondering about the new and used prices.

I'm looking to purchase one soon, but want to make sure I am not paying too much!

New:

US 92 - $560
Italian 92 - $590
M9 - $600
92A1 - $630
M9A1 -$640

Those are the prices I typically see. Used can be anywhere from $450 up. Summit gunbroker usually had used Berettas at the best prices.

The 92FS (American & Italian) and the M9 should all be the same price. Don't let an FFL charge you more than the others.

IIRC, Beretta recently had a price increase, but the last prices I saw were around $550-$575 NIB. You can buy used as low as $350 if you shop around.

This. Dealer cost is all the SAME from the distributors.

Over 2 years ago I purchased my first handgun which was a 1994 Beretta 92FS Centurion from a local gun shop for $589.00 + tax.  They also charged me for 4 magazines - I was under the impression that 1 or 2 would have been included with the gun, but no, not at this shop.  The original blue Beretta plastic case and paper/cardboard box were included, though, as was the owners manual.

I'm guessing I overpaid by about $100-$200....especially because it was used....but it is extremely clean and shows very little signs of wear, and almost NO scratching of the frame and slide. The only scratches that exist are on the bottom of the magazines and where the magazines are inserted, but no where else.

Oh well, you live and learn....I'm seeing new-in-box M9s and 92FS going for slightly under what I paid.....so yeah, I guess I overpaid, but the best prices you can get are on-line, in gun stores I really haven't seen anything much less.

I should have tried to negotiate, but I was a noob at the time.

Yeah, that seems to be the usual price around this area too, for a 92FS.

Perhaps I didn't over-pay like I had thought.  I have a Centurion model and apparently that is more desirable/rare than the standard full-length 92FS and M9.

I was reading on another forum that a suggested price for a Centurion was $600, and I paid $589 at a gun store.

I paid a little more than most listed prices for my 92FS, but I found one that had a straight dust cover, and that matters to me!

I just picked up a 92A1 for $558 at our big gun show. With the $50 rebate how could I say no?
