A little hoslter wear, the bore is clean and good. I have not had time to take it to the range yet. But when I do I have to take its new freind, A P232. |

Please direct me to CDNN. The only thing I can find is CDNN investments, but can find nothing about purchasing a firearm. Appreciate the help. I am a big SIG fan. Have one 220 from the old Herndon, VA import days, and would enjoy getting a little newer version. Thanks.

Tutone with night sights. (I didn't request or pay for night sights.) Test shoot tomorrow.
 250 rounds through it today. Federal 230gr., Speer 185gr. and Wolf 230gr. No failures of any kind and more accurate than me. |

That looks like a $900 gun!  I am getting ready to order one myself. Question: is it DA only, or both DA and SA? The local police department just changed over to DA only P220s. I spoke with a cop today who said he doesn't like the 12 pound trigger pull. |

I have bought 3 of the preowned P220s and one of the P226's, all were awesome deals. Only holster wear and minor nicks for the most part. All still had excellent bores and were fully functional. The only thing I did was replace the springs just to be on the safe side. I highly recommend the used LE trade-in Sigs.
ETA: Sold the P226 to another ARF member. He had it refinished in hard chrome and replaced the sights among other things. It looks awesome and the total was still under what a brand new stock P226 costs. |

Yeah, at their current prices, I am going to try to pick up a P220, P229(357), and of course a P226. I've had great luck with them in the past, good deals on those Sigs!

Well I ordered a "hand select" blue P220. Should be here in a few days. CDNN were great guys to work with. Very professional and accomodating.
Hope my 220 looks and functions as well as the other guys have said theirs do. |

friend of mine got a .40 HK USP trade in from CDNN, had holster wear, but works great and shoots even better.
Kind of nice to buy a used gun with some wear on it, then you don't mind being the one to put the first scratch on it Same deal with cars.... |

I bought a 226 from them last year 'very good to excellent.' The slide has lots of wear and rattles on the frame. I am still unhappy about it but, since I bought it thru an FFL almost 100 miles away, I kept it. It does shoot great but isn't much to look at. After that, I was never tempted to buy another used pistol from them. Guess I should reconsider.

Don't despair. My older P226 (made in 1986) was a police trade-in purchased from a local gunshop - it also has a loose slide to frame fit. To my skill level, it doesn't seem to affect its shooting capabilities. I'm no expert, but it seems that the older stamped steel slides simply don't fit as tight as the newer forged slides. My newer P226 (made in 2001) has a forged slide and fits the frame pretty darn tight. |

None of the pieces I ran across would I call really loose but I'm sure that many were serviced by a department armorer in mass like the military so slides may not have been reassembled onto the original frames. Swapping slides and frames can cause mismatches and produce poor fits.

My older (looser) 226's frame, slide and barrel all have the same serial number and proof marks. The gun is marked "Made in W. Germany". Curiously enough, the newer 226s don't have the slide and barrel serially numbered. I don't see any proof marks, either. |

I was under the impression that it was common for Sig's to have some slide rattle, though _my_ P228 is still fitting close after several thousand rounds. Search the SigForum and you'll see plenty of folks who have perfectly accurate and servicable Sig's that have some play between the slide and frame.

My bad, I was referring to newer models which would not be the older ones being traded in. I wouldn't worry about the fit so much, but I guess it comes down to how it shoots. All the trade-in's I got shot well as have every Sig I have owned. I can't recall if any of the ones I have are so tight there is no play in slide to frame fit. |
