Hi,
This has probably been posted to death, but Glock does offer LE discount (about $100 per weapon) to Active and Retired Military. They also give the same discount to Fire/EMS. You have to buy from a stock LE Dealer. Call Glock, 770-432-1202 and they'll tell you who the stocking LE Dealers are in your state. Additionally, you'll get three mags w/ your pistol rather than the customary 2. OK, also found a link, http://www.gssfonline.com/GSSF_PISTOL_PURCH_LIST.pdf which will give you your state's LE Dealers. Makes me ill that I just bought a 19C for retail, but I was, and am, happy with the purchase. |
|
I have said this before, their needs to be a sticky on this. I have bought my last 6 on this program. You can also buy directly from Glock if you don't have an LE dealer. Takes a little longer but it can be done.

My local Glock LE dealer pads the price, but it is still better than retail...

Why firemen and EMS? They don't need them for duty. Why not postal employees and teachers too?

Why firemen and EMS? They don't need them for duty. Why not postal employees and teachers too? The discount was extended to Firemen and EMS, among others, by what Glock called the America's Heroes discount. I'm pretty sure Firemen and EMS are unspoken American Heroes. The discount was born of the role certain people play in our society. This was especially highlighted during the 9/11 mass murder. |

Why firemen and EMS? They don't need them for duty. Why not postal employees and teachers too? It involves anyone directly involved with public safety. Glock's way of saying thank you to those who serve, often in a volunteer capacity, sometimes putting their lives on the line that others may live. |

Guess I would have to call to find out if
those if us in the Nuclear Security Ind. qualify aswell ??? as I'm looking for a G17 |

The discount also applies if you work in an armed security role.
I work for an armored truck company and I got my G19 through the plan. I think I'll be going for a G26 next. |

What about dispatchers? Guess I'll have to call Glock I was told negative by Glock. I'm a PD dispatcher. Bastiches..... |

Funny how the Sheriff didn't notice that part of my record when he gave me my CCW. Maybe you have teachers confused with clergy. |

The program is great. I bought a Glock 27 and my brother bought a Glock 22 this weekend both for
under $400 about a $150 savings as to what they are going for around here. Other manufacters should step up and match the offer but eeven if they did I would still buy Glcok becuase they are simply the best now they are one of the cheapest with the discount. Thank you Glock |
|
cool thanks for the heads up. only thing that sucks is my state doesnt have a in state dealer. i have to go through WA to get my discount.

Glock will send the discounted gun to any FFL dealer of your choice. You will just have to pay another $10 in shipping. Besides, you can't buy a handgun in another state, save for a very few exceptions. Such as in the military stationed in another state which is not your home of record. |
|
i didnt realize you could pick a dealer in your state and go through them. i thought i would have to buy it from a WA dealer and have it sent to my FFL here in MT

Bunch of 911 dispatchers here in Guilford County all got their Glocks for the discount. I got my first one with my part-time 911 ID. Got the rest with my FD ID. I am proof they give it. Won't hurt to ask again.... |

Glock takes that very seriously from what my dealer has told me. |

I still don't know why they don't sticky this at the top of the forum. Mods...any reason?
|
|
This is a good deal.
I am .mil, and have purchased a 26 and a 19 (with factory night sights) at $455.40 + tax each. ETA: the subcompacts come with 2 mags and the rest (like my 19) come with 3 mags. |

i wish i would have know about this as well. last march i bought the wifie a glock 19 and we paid 550$. it was the only one my gun dealer could find and it so much because it came with a glock flashlight. i ended up selling the light and that helped out on the base price a bit...

The G-30 which is really not a subcompact also only comes with only 2 mags. Want to guess how I know...? |
