I use the minotaur MTAC holster. I carry it because I like to use what I carry for CCW, and since IDPA is geared more towards real scenario shoots, and defensive shooting it makes sense.
ETA the 34 doesn't fit the MTAC, sorry I just read that and it reminded me. |

I use a Bladetech with sting ray belt loop attachment for my Glock 34 that I shoot IDPA with. It's not the drop and offset version as that one is not legal for IDPA. The trigger guard retention is adjustable and there are no other external retentions to mess with. Dawson Precision has them listed as to which ones are approved for IDPA. Good luck with your search.

I use a safariland 5188 paddle holster. IDPA approved for sanctioned matches. Very secure and fast. Was $30 shipped. Has a very deep sight channel if you use any adjustable sights like a Dawson.

I use a Safariland 6377.
I can draw faster out of it's bucket type body versus a Comptac/Bladetech molded kydex. |

I'm using the $15 Glock Sport with my 34 for IDPA. I have no complaints, and have no intentions of upgrading any time soon.

My Gen3 34 seems to fit in my MTAC "9/40/357 Slide" just fine, but I carry at 8:30 - guessing that the issue might be the ext. mag release. |

I use the Comp Tac Slide belt holster. The slide version fits a Glock 17 or Glock 34 which are the two guns I use for IDPA. Bladetechs are nice too, use one with my 1911s.

I use an older Blade Tech paddle for my 34 but a couple of years ago I went with the Comp Tac Pro Competition Kit when I got a 21SF. I really like the Comp Tac holsters and mag carriers and when I get around to it, I plan to buy the same Pro C. Kit for my new 34.
