Anyone know whrere I can buy..., or rent a 24mmx1.5  right hand thread die?

I do a lot of low light Coyote hunting & I really like the performance of the Krinkov 4-piece F/H!!

I want to put one on my AR-15 Varmint Barrel!

Size wise.., it looks like the .920"  muzzle on my Varmint Barrel is a perfect canidate for 24mmx1.5 Threads!

Well if those are Right hand (normal) threads you can get p/n 18-502-240 from Travers Tool  Co. for $20.79 (plus shipping)

Just search for pg 161 or 18-502-240

K-Var's are for Left Hand Threads.

Not sure why...,  since the 24mmx1.5 F/H & Brakes they sell are Right Hand Threads???

krinks use left hand.

but be careful as bulgarian krinks use a different thread than yugoslavian krinks.

correct????

Yugo is 24mm X 1.5mm

bulgarian is (I think) 23mm? X ?mm

???

Not mine. My bulgarian krinkov is 24mm normal threading. Screws on like a nut onto a bolt.

Bulgy Krinks are 24mmx1.5 ..., righty tighty..., lefty loosey

That is what I want the die for.  I'm putting a Bulgy Krinkov 4-Piece FH on my AR-15 Varmint barrel. The 24mmx1.5 Threads should fit perfect on my .920" muzzle!!

24x1.5mm die = $23
It is a  2" round die so you will need a 2" round die stock(handle) = $9.50

www.victornet.com/cgi-bin/victor/index.html

Perfect fit? 24mm = .9449"

I would never use a die to cut threads on a barrel unless it was impossible to fit the barrel in a lathe ( and I have not found a barrel that couldn't be done in a lathe.)

Dies are ok for cleaning up threads, or thread repair.

About the only thing I will use dies for is cutting NPT threads (pipe).

No problem if you know how to do it!   I've Threaded  several SAR-2 muzzles by hand with 100% sucess!!  I guess it's just a matter of ability, and the skill  to make, and use a good alignment tool!!

Of course if I had a lathe I would use it...., but me no got...., so me make do!!

Ok...., near perfect!!

The ID @ the threads of the FH is .890"   I'll get a pretty good bite of .030"

UPDATE:

Got the Die from Victory machine.

Threaded my AR-15 Bull barrel and screwed on the Bulgy Krinkov F/H

Works AWESOME!!  You can shoot the damn thing without ear plugs....,(great for varmint hunting!!)  it really concentrates the muzzle blast & most of the noise straight forward..., it's unreal!!!

And there's a bonus........., it  looks totally evil!!

I'll post a pic as soon as I can figure out how!!
