I have seen the Aero Precision Blem Lowers come up for stock a couple times in the last few weeks and I am wondering what peoples experiences with them are?  what REALLY needs to be done to them? Is it really just "cosmetic" blemishes or is there any serious modification that needs to be done to bring them within spec?

Any info would be great! thanks!

I bought an Aero blem lower a few weeks back, built my first AR on it.  Definitely just aesthetics and even at that it wasn't that bad.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Just aesthetics.  Usually a hard to find nick on or below the anodizing.

My FFL couldn't even find the Blem on the one I have, I noticed a scuff or swirl in one area, but it's not noticeable without scrutinizing.

I've bought two of the PSA blems and I only had one slightly noticeable scuff on one of them.  You really had to look for it.

Aero Precision makes good receivers and stands behind their quality.  A blem part is a good buy, IMO. - CW

Five guys at my FFL dealer couldn't find anything wrong with my blem and I'm about to mate it to a PSA blem complete upper for my first build that nobody can find the blem.

My blem was purely cosmetic,  Something must've dripped or splashed on it during anodizing.  Barely noticeable unless you look close under a bright light.

They're just a Cerakote and/or hydroprint job away from perfection.

In my experience, by the time you assemble and fire the weapon, any original blems will pale in comparison to wear and tear from regular use.

I've seen blemish lowers that looked perfect, especially the earlier Noveske chainsaw lowers. Now that John Noveske passed,Noveske will let anything out the door.Saw two Gen2 chainsaw lowers at the lgs & they looked like they were used for a lunch time soccer game & then anodized!
