Here's my first rig that I put together using a completed upper. I've been hanging around and sucking in all the good info here. I've had to create a new name because my old registration was through an email server that no longer exists. I only had a few posts so no big deal. Thanks to all who answered my questions.
Some of these photos were taken during its 'Hollywood' configuration h DPMS Lower RRA LPK LMT Upper CTR Stock MIAD Grip Young BCG YHM rear sight Accu-Wedge (which is bitchen) Everything went together w/o a hitch. I may be adding some optics after I spring for some ammo. I'm also going to get a set of OD handguards or maybe a rail, but I think I might keep this one on the simple side. I hope to do a full-build on my next one. This is my first black rifle/long gun. I have some H&K HGs that have brought me many smiles. The only let down w/ this setup has been a minor gripe about the finish on the Magpul parts. Updated personal AR pic. Changed handgaurd to a KAC M4 RAS and added the Matech rear BUIS.
Slowly, but surely it's getting there...  (Sorry it's not in better focus. - I'm still learning how to take reasonable pics...) Future Plans for this weapon: VFG w/switch recess SureFire Weapon Light Aiming Laser Aimpoint Comp M4 Tac Sling & Adapter Plate Night Vision Device Then I'll start on a 20 inch A4 type build. Globemaster, the SNS lowers are made by Mega, right? I was thinking of grabbing one to use with another Mega upper build I am doing.

That Mega needs some 6.8SPC love.  I will definitely grab one of those sick SNS "skull" lowers to go with my Mega upper. I already have 2 complete Mega/Mega builds, but I'm digging the skull and crossbones! I'm doing a nifty 14.5" "recon" build with a LaRue 12.0. The SNS lower will be a sweet addition! |

Bushmaster ejection port door and round forward assist button. Custom M60 bipod DE Trijicon TR22 That is my Son shooting it. Pics from 12/07. The rifle is currently being (upper and lower receivers, barrel, rails, complete) done in duracoat flat earth color. I'll have it back in a couple weeks. I switched the upper to a Colt A4 upper, since the pics. I'll add a new photo. The 16" carbine in the backround is my other build. These are my first "parts build" rifles the way I wanted them. I'll post the pics of the 16" when I get some presentable photos. Any comments, advice, or ideas are always appreciated. |
