Todd does like that Z6, I have talked to him about it before. That just a lot of cash.
Looking forward to your review of the TR-24, that is the same model I have been thinking about for my new 3-gun rig.
My question would be how well the elevation works. Say you have a 250 yd zero and you have to engage plates at 350 to 450 yds. can you just "count clicks" and put the dot on the target. That was was one thing I got talking to Todd, he said it was a lot better to count clicks to get on target instead of trying to guess holdover.

Yes you could absolutely count clicks. This is why you build a ballistic chart for your particular gun and then verify it. The thing is though on the Swaro the clicks are pretty soft, at least on the one Z6 I've used.

I was shooting a rifle with the Z6i scope this weekend with their Bturret feature. It think the Bturret would be perfect for 3 gunning but it's not available on the 1-6 I think. On the other hand, you can mark the turrets with nail polish for the same effect on target.

Hey guys, the only concern I have on TR24 is at 1x, how do they perform comparing to Aimpoint/Eotech?

Thx!

Very good review so thanks for posting your observations.  You touched on the 2 things I'm not crazy about.. the Meopta battery life sucks while the TR24 reticule doesn't have the greatest reticule.  Trijicon should buy up Meopta so we could finally get a Meopta reticule with fiber optics and tritium.

I had the Meopta for awhile. I thought it was a great scope at a good price. It didn't work well with my eyes though. I replaced it with a TR21.

I just shot an IDPA carbine match last Saturday with the new S&B Zenith Short Dot 1.1-4x24.  My normal zero is 50 yards, but since the stages all were within 25 yards I adjusted the BDC elevation knob to be +4 MOA for a 25 yard zero.  No holdover required at the farthest targets.  After the match, I turned the BDC knob back to zero.

Very useful.

Cool Deal Cold.

Look forward to seeing what your impressions are.

You could always use the lower post as a second aiming point. With a little experimenting you might be able to find the right sight in to cover holdover out for a ways.

On the counting clicks thing, is there enough time to do that??

I wish they had some sort of bdc or holdover reticle like the acogs

Basically I want the TR24 with this reticle, but add have some wind hold offs like they did on some acogs

Good luck running the new TR24!  This is a great thread.

I'm up in the air about adding either a 3.5x ACOG or one of the 1-4x scopes (TR24 and NF NSX1-4x are both on the short list).  The durability of the ACOG appeals to me, but the variable powered scopes seem ideal for almost any application.  Can't wait to see how the TR24 works out for you...the price sure fits the bill.  Do you have any experience with the NF?

Yes, please explain to me how to use those "wind hold offs" in the ACOGs?

To clarify, are the TR24 turrets click adjustable or are they the traditional style with screw-off caps requiring a tool or coin?

I have noticed significant decrease in brightness across all levels using a 2032 vs a 2354 on the Meopta... have you noticed this also?  Of course this was a new generic 2032 vs a Panasonic 2354 so just wanted to see if other users noted this as well.  I also had to rebend my connectors with the 20 32 to work as its thinner than the 2354 and it does not stay centered in the battery compartment.

My K-dot works fine with a 2032. I haven't used a 2354 in it since the original one that came with it died.
