I recently purchased a 700 SPS Varmint .308 and I am looking for a decent scope without breaking the bank.  I am in college so price is definitely important to me.

i have a vortex optics viper 6.5-20x5mm on my Remington 700 sendero.

i love this scope. retail is around 590.

for the money you get a zero reset on the windage and elevation which is a really nice feature if you are changing yardages frequently.

if you are looking for less than that. their Diamondback line is less expensive

Look at Nikon best non combat grade scope out there for the money IMO

I also have a burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42mm. this is also a fine scope and you can get their ballistic plex reticle.
