I would consider the 1.5X-6X, but I don't like the reticle.  What's wrong with a MilDot?

Here's a pic of that optic...the price is around 600.00 from most sellers if you do a search...So you can assume that CGS will follow suit

I know the manufacturer says 28 feet, I just won't believe it until an arfcomer confirms it with a look. If true it would be a must have scope.

Anybody tried these compared to say... the Trijicon Accupoint? I am in the market for a scope and these new toys keep popping up that changes my mind.

the accupoint reticle is lit by fiberoptic so it has one up over these scopes already

Send me one to beat up for 8 months and I'll tell oyu what I think of them

Now I say 8 months because thats how long it took for me to kill a tacpoint

But no seriously, the 50mm objective is to much. It's not needed on 90%of scope sthat have them. I prefer a 42-44mm objective, of course I'll compramise on that if the other features are what I want, first focal plan retical, 1/2MOA adjustments on the knobs, Illuminated glass etched/photo engraved retical etc...

I notice it looks like it has what looks like something similar to the IOR magnum lock on it......interesting(I'll have to look at the spec sheets. I'd have to spend some time playing with one to really know if I like them though. I've got a buddy with the dot sight and it looks good, but he won't let me torture test it after what I did to the tacpoint .

The 1.5-6 looks interesting as heck to me. Looks like it would be good on a GP carbine like I have.

I have a few Burris brand scopes and I have had nothing but excellent performance with them.  I buy them over Leupold of similar scope grades.  I had Burris Black Diamond which was really top notch.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Burris product at all.  

Only thing I see wrong with the scope from the start is the gaudy name "Extreme" and "Tactical" all they need is some black velcro to set it off.

I will have to agree with the comments on Sniper Hide that the color is not what it looked like in the pics, why would they paint it an OD color that is not subdued/matt?

Oh well, I was gonna paint it a bit anyway, I guess I'll have to start with a base coat.

I just got mine, My rings won't get here till tomorow so no pics till then, but I'm friggen impressed. This thing is built like a tank! Maybe it's just my lack of experience with "Tactical" or "Military Grade" scopes (I'm sure it is), but I have never seen or felt anything this solid.

The glass is very-very clear, to my eye it easily compares to Leupold glass.

All the adjustments are solid with very definate clicks for elevation and windage.

The OD green color is more subdued that those pics show, it does have an anadized look, but it's darker and doesn't look like an airsoft job.

So far I'm very happy with this scope, but the real tests have not happened so I'll know more later.

Let's see if I get into this stuff first. I think I did very well for my first step into this area of shooting, at least I didn't get a Swift, Sightron, or Mueller.



ETA: I just noticed this. Each scope comes with standard 360* Radial Dials installed on the elevation and windage turrets, but the come with an extra set of 180* Radial Dials.

I'm guessing that you guys know what this means, but if you don't it means that instead of being numbered 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 etc... (360*) you can have it numbered 5 4 3 2 1 0 1 2 3 4 5. So you zero the scope and then for adjustments you see that you are adjusting 2 clicks down or up, and 3 clicks right or left. Does that make sense?

Pretty cool to me, probably just expected by you guys.

i did a similar pattern to one of my ar's.



used some netting found in the fabric dept. of walmart and just laid it on the rifle and painted away.

The photo above is accurate for color. I got to play with one yesterday. The side focus is rather stiff but started to loosen up as I played with it. The elivation and windage adjustments are very good, crisp and easy to feel. Glass is very good and clear with good color. I may try one in black but that green is butt ugly more of a metalic olive rather than olive drab.

What can you tell me about the illumination on these scopes?

I've owned a Burris Fullfield II with illumination, and I found the illumination to be the ONLY thing on the scope I DIDN'T like...  All you get is "medium, high, off" which was great if you don't need low, extra low, or almost medium...  At night (which is what I want illumination for) it was far too bright to use.  Other than that it was the clearest scope I've ever owned.  Hopefully these things will have a few extra clicks on the illumination knob.
