(Link to page 1 of the original thread: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=316626) Did you purchase, reload, or expend any ammo this week??? If so... Tell us about it, and maybe post a pic or two... (Post # 556 ) FlDiveCop71 |

Bought a tad over 12 K this week. 8640 of 5.45mm with 7560 going to buddies. 1400 rounds of Romanian "Hotshot" in spam cans going into my stash. Two thousand GT 7.62x39mm, a grand for myself the remainder to a friend.
The month of May will see a couple crates of Greek CMP 30-06 heading to Florida, guess I'll wait to post that until the next inquiry rolls around ...... |
Couple boxes a week (every week) adds up quick. Wal Mart is good for something...
I obtained about $120 of ammo from a dealer at a show for $40 because he "didn't have a gun that could shoot it" and shot about 60 rounds of it (.223) and 50 rounds of .40, no .45 didn't have a chance :(

Not intentionally... I tried posting a reply in the original thread, but it was a no-go every time. (No reason given or anything...just simply wouldn't post) Figured it must've been the whole 100 page thing. Anyway, I looked around for a continuation thread to no avail, and thus posted this one, and credited it to you. Wasn't trying to jump the gun on you UMC, just trying to keep the theme alive. My apologies for the accidental discharge. and (ALL HAIL UMC FOR COMING UP WITH THE ORIGINAL THREAD IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!) This week - Shot another 200rds of T2 TAP...Still not buying any replacements. FlDiveCop71 |

Hmm..., dueling ammo threads? Bankruptcy looms...
ETA - I guess not. Welcome to page 2. |
You suck |
No big deal man, I actually meant my comment to be tongue in cheek but picked the wrong smiley for that. Would you mind linking the first page of the other thread in your first post, just in case someone wants to go back and read the whole thing. |

Bought 600 rounds of Sellior & Belliot (sp?) 7.62x39 and 150 rnds of PMC 40.cal for $50 off of a local WTS gun ad in a local paper. $50 for everything.
I sold 100rnds of the S&B and 500 rnds of .22 ammo and a box ( 5 rnds ) of 00buck to a fellow arf.commer for 20 bucks as part of a shotgun deal we wrapped up on Easter morning. I sold a few thousand rounds of re-loads and probably close to a thousand rnds of factory ammo and alot of reloading stuff to a local guy ( non arf.commer ) for $1500 I found a couple thousand rounds in my garage last week that I had stashed under some other stuff |
Just ordered another case of CMP ammo.
Hopefully, by the time the CC bill arrives the tax refund check will have also arrived. Aloha, Mark |
Picked up 500 rnds of Wolf Mil Classic .223 Rem, and 500 rnds of Georgia Arms .223 Rem. I've heard nothing but good things about Georgia Arms even though they are reloads so I decided to try them out.
I loaded 600 rounds of Rem .223
I loaded and fired 80 roundds of .30 '06 ( range session with my 1903A3) I cleaned 400 pieces of .223 brass Now it's time to catch up on my .308 (My 2 M14's) need some fodder) |

in the past 2 weeks I've bought 1000 rounds of 5.56 and 1300 rounds of .40 cal
I've shot maybe 250 rounds of .40 and will probably use the same amount of 5.56 tomorrow. |
300 rounds of Armscor .223 from a local General Store. Selling for 5.00 a box of 20.
One Box of old 94 HS Federal 45 Ball for $7.00. Going to give it to a friend that gave me 2 boxs of .223 last week when I forgot to bring my training stuff. All the other ammo was hunting stuff. I just went in to get a sasperallia and did not know they sold any gun stuff. I will be going back to get a Cheeseburger this weekend and talk with the old fellow behind the counter. Said he will only sell hunting stuff or Revolver ammo because that is the only stuff that moves at his store. |
And so it begins... again... eh?
Might as well get in early on this one. Have 880 rounds of Russian 7.62x54r light ball and 280 rounds of SA 7.62x51 (two tins, two battle packs) enroute from our friends at AIM. Not cheap by yesterday's standards, but cheap, I'm willing to bet, by tomorrow's. Reasonable by today's. Been a while since I picked anything up... figured it was about time to bump up the supply by a bit. |
At my present rate of consumption, I should run out of all teh ammos in say..........
@ 30 years of regular monthly training. For some, this begs the following questions: How long, or at what point, should you actually consider buying replacements?? And just how expensive will they be when you do? I'm thinking that I'll probably be dead before I need to really worry about either one. FlDiveCop71 |
I just picked up 800 rds of Federal Power Shock .223 in the 200 rd value packs today at my local Walmart for $216. These were the last 2 cases (4 boxes) they had after ordering 7 or 8 cases from another store at my request a few months ago since MD stores don't carry the product. I had put the word out on the "hometown" board and I can't believe no one went to this store to scarf any up. So I bought it all. I didn't want to see the manager get stuck with it. (grin) I had been paying the $57.88 price per box but the mgr. sold me the last 4 for $54 each.
