Shot 700rnds of 55gr S&B ammo without any problems through my Bushmaster M4. Very accurate, a bit on the hot side. The only thing is the powder smells kinda funky almost the same as wolf. Good ammo!

I have put about 1200 rounds of S&B 5.56mm in the mint green box thru my 20' Bushy. I have had one FTF, that's it. I found it to be a hot load judging from the report and recoil only, no chrony data. It seems to be fairly accurate out of my gun. I wish I could still get it for $3.29/box. Those days are gone huh.

One of the brands I wish I'd bought a truck load of when it was around and cheap.

Used in Mini 14,  AC556 machinegun, 11.5 inch ARs, all functioned fine and accurate.

I have fired 600 rounds of 55gr FMJ  mostly through a Sabre 16" 1/7 midlength and a Bushmaster 14.5" 1/9 M4.  I have approximately 1400rds left in my supply.

It has been reliable, accurate, and although I haven't chronographed it, it feels reasonably warm compared to the Black Hills 55gr FMJ blue box and Federal American Eagle I have been using.

Zhuk.  This is excellent ammo.  It is NATO standard for God's sake.  I load it in my grab mags alongside M193.

I have shot a few hundred rounds of the 55gr m193 stuff.  I have not had any problems with it at all, infact when my Stag AR was new it was the only thing that would shot reliably for the first 150-200 rounds.

I used the 55-gr stuff a lot until a squib round blew up my Colt in my face. Major bummer for me, but S&B covered a new Colt upper.

Just a FYi Natchess hAs both the 55 and 62 grain instock.

Its been my experiance this stuff is better than lakeCity and PRV Partizan and Wolf.
Its the only ammo that shoots a decent group out of my GGG Dominator upper.

3,000 rounds of 55gr. fmj out of a Colt LE6920.  1 blown primer in all 3,000 rounds.  Rather acurate and felt a little hot, judging from the recoil.  Will continue to use it.

Brass sucks, primer pockets loose and neck splits abound after 2nd mild load.

About 400 rounds each down my RRA Varmint and Colt Retro without a hitch.  I agree it seems a tad hot and is really accurate for a production non-specialty load.

Hmm about 300 rounds S&B 45ACP 230Gr FMJ

400 rounds through my M&P15A. Very accurate, all rounds went boom and easy clean up. Will buy more.

I've never had any functioning problems with it. But this last lot I got seems to be having accuracy problems. I was shooting my NM RRA and it was giving me at least 4 minute groups. I switched to my handloads and got just over a minute group both fired at 200 yds.

Anyone else have problems like this? Bad lot maybe? if so, is there anything that can be done?

1k rounds of the mint green box, 55gr. M-193 "type" S&B, lot #127-119 (if I'm reading it correctly), with headstamp "S&B 86". Mine was magnetic (I understand most/all of the S&B M-193 is).  Pity - it was impressively accurate and I would have used it for the accuracy stages at my monthly practical rifle match (match rules include: "no magnetic ammo allowed"). 5-shot groups at 100 yards measuring under 1" were not uncommon (benchrest, sandbag, 9x optic). Used in 4 (5? 6?) different firearms, 16" and 20" barrel length (mostly 16"), all were Olympic 1/9 twist. No malfunctions/problems that could be blamed on the ammo.

I would be happy to have more. Depending on the price (and the intended use) I would be happy to buy (or at least consider buying) more.

Ah hell, I screwed up. I don't suppose you want anecdotal information about .45 ACP, do you? Worked fine in Colt 1991A1, 500 rds 230 grain fmj.

I've shot approximately 1000 rounds each of 9mm and 45 acp.  I only have 1/2 box of 9mm left.

My observations were that it went bang ever time and my guns (Browning Hi-Power and Kimber 1911) never malfunctioned with it.

But, it is weak, no empirical data, just based on recoil and the smack of it on steel plates and it is very dirty.

1k rounds of mint green boxed S&B.
5.56 x45mm
55gr FMJ bullets labeled type M193

While this ammo works just fine in my AR-16 w/ 16" M4gery Carbine upper, it causes all kinds of double feeds and extraction problems (spent casing never leaves the receiver) in my Keltec SU-16CA.

After multiple teardowns and thorough cleanings, it looks like the ammo isn't loaded very hot and causes "short stroking" in the SU-16's spring piston. The extractor is sufficiently grabby and the ejector appears to offer repeatable firm springiness (it helps that I have an AR with the exact same bolt to compare).

I don't need this grief from ammo. After a burn through the 1K rounds, I'll buy something else (like PRVI or Remington).

2k of 5.56 with zero problems.
1k of 9mm with great results
and i am on 600 rds of .45 with 0 non mag related issues.
Currently my favorite ammo for the money.

I bought a box of their 9mm range safe FMJ 115gr ammo to try in my Walther PPS since the Armory has 1000rd cases for 189.99.
THe first three rounds fired would not eject, I had to rack the slide a 4 or 5 times. They seem to be rather hot. I'm going to try them in my Sig P6 or my CZ-52

Heard enough of this I traded very advantageously for some Barnaul - he was afraid of lacquer and I was afraid of Kaboom. Neither of us have had an issue tho and I almost feel guilty.

I shot a metric shitload of S&B.45 when Wilson was recommending it - then they dis-recommended it. I still have a couple cases, but I moved on. All in all, unless I got a scortching deal, I'd find something else.

Anyone have any experience with the S&B .40SW?  I have a nearly new Sig P229R and want to gather up some ammo. I've never had any problem with the yellow/green box 5.56/.223 ammo. It's always been very accurate and has functioned fine. Don't want to blow up a new Sig. Thanks

1) Firearm used in: Sig 239 40 S&W
2) Approximate number of rounds fired: 400+
3) Ammunition type: 180 Ball

Have had no issues with S&B ammo, shot only 40 S&W at this point, but have a few hundred rounds of .223 on the shelf waiting for my upper to come back from Bushmaster.

I've had zero issues with their  FMJ M193 in either my Colt or Bushmaster, shot about 400 rnds each.  Accurate.  I'd buy more but it seems it's not the deal it once was.

40 rnds each of .303 british and 7.62x54R. Kinda hot and dirty for the 7.62. Much dirtier than Winchester White Box from Midway. Approx 200 rnds of 9x18 Makarov. No issues.

About 100 rounds in 2006 through my FS2000.
No issues, ammo magnetic, and a nice spark show at the end of the range.
I did not switch targets during that session, but it sure looked like just about all hit where they were supposed to.

9mm ammo is good too, and pleasantly hot.

I was out finishing breaking in my DPMS M-4orgery with Remington UMC 55 gr FMC....no problems, & I wanted to shoot my new A-O .30 cal M1 Carbine for the first time. Loaded 20 rounds of S&B 110 gr FMJ & started plinking. Had 2 FTF of the 20.
I looked @ primers from all fired cart., the two FTF looked like real hard primers, very small dimples. The fired rounds had the usual well-dimpled look. Had to leave the range to head home, but will try again another time...using up the S&B, & will try some MagTech for comparison.....will up date post later......."G"

Bushmaster 20in  1-9
55gr FMJ 223
Shot about 40rounds
Did not reliably cycle action.  Ran fine out of M4.  20in would balk on every round.  Gun would run on AE 223 50gr HP, XM193 and PPU 193.

500+ rounds of 230gr. FMJ through Glock 36 and FNP-45.

No issues of any kind, very accurate in both weapons.  Not as clean as Federal, but cleaner than WWB.

1000+ rounds of 115gr FMJ  though CZ 75 PCR, and CZ 75B.  Very accurate in these weapons, as this is what the CZ factory tests with and develops around.  No issues of any kind.

60 rounds 6.5 x 55 140gr. FMJ through M1896/38 Swedish Mauser.  Slightly less accurate at 200 yds, than milsurp ammo, but still quite good, no issues.

40 rounds .303 British 180gr. FMJ through BSA manufactured SMLE.  No issues.

100 rounds mint blue/green box M-193 55 gr. FMJ through CZ 527 Carbine.  Weaver 4 to 9 scope fired from a rest.  Sub MOA accuracy at 200yds.
I have embarrassed many guys at the range with far more expensive equipment using this rifle/ammo combination.

Approx 200 rds 55 gr FMJ M193 thru BM 20" A2 1/9- consistent problems - Double fire, FTE, FTF..... staked gas key, and lubed well with LSA and seemed to correct the problems mostly.
Approx 200 rds 55 gr FMJ M193 thru RRA 16" 1/9 - no problems, clean, fairly accurate - 1.5-2 MOA - will use regularly
Approx 200 rds .40 S&W, cannot remember the weight, thru G22, G27- 1 FTE - was last round in magazine, and was barely stuck from full ejection, red sealant leaves mess in the chamber, but cleans easy enough - will use regularly
