Here is mine:

I shot several common loads for the AR15 today, out of a 20" and 16" barrel, here are my results:

Chrony F1, 15ft, 80 degrees, overcast, 486ft elevation, 57% humidity, 29.74"Hg barometer.

These are in groups first of which barrel they were fired from, then sorted by avg velocity, fastest to slowest.

I also fired some of the ammunition for group size.  Test weapon was a 20" Wilson 1:8 bull barrel, this shoots .5MOA with my handloads, but does not like M193 at all.  Groups are listed worst to best, all at 100yds.

Guatemalan: 3.8"
South African: 3.2"
Q3131A: 2.5"
Wolf M193: 1.7"
Black Hills 55FMJ: 1.6"

Interesting conclusions:

1.  Q3131A is still the best out there, in terms of velocity and weapon function.
2.  South African surplus is still VERY good ammunition, since this stuff was made in 1983 and has retained excellent velocity and function.
3.  Guatemalan 5.56 surplus is exactly where M193 velocities should be, and functioned 100%
4.  Black Hills 55fmj is surprisingly slow.... but verry accurate.
5.  Federal AE223 in Lake city brass consistently was faster than AE223 in FC brass.
6.  Wolf Polymer .223 still sucks on velocity.
7.  Wolf M193 is surprisingly accurate!
8.  Guatemalan .223 showed surprisingly poor accuracy.... at least in this one 5 shot group in this barrel.

No.... I was timing the bullet impacts on my stopwatch at 100yds, and just doing the math.

Hey Mr. Wizard, don't forget to divide the time from the shot to the time you hear the impact by 2

Great info FALARAK, much obliged.....

Mike

ps - I'd watch bending over around Q3131A....., as for me I'm gonna have to watch what I have to say in the future about my feelings for the IMI made M193, which is my plinking ammo.........

Hate I wasn't shooting when they made Q3131A. I have always had the Israeli ammo shoot well in most of my guns.
Great work.

So is this thread going to be to repository for chrono results?  I will have chrono results to share from time to time and I also like to see other peoples results.  It would be nice to have it all in one place, don't ya think?
