Shot off a box of 50 some time ago. It all went bang.
Being re-manufactured, it just doesn't inspire the same level of confidence that I would have for first run Federal, PMC or Winchester, however, and the price you mention is not much less than what I would pay locally for those rounds. |

I've never tried the .223, but I did try some of their .45 ammo once. I wasn't impressed. No duds but my shot groups were terrible. Worst than CCI Blazer.

I've shot 250 rounds of Ultramax 55 grain FMJ through my Mini-14 and my AR-180B (mostly the former). It worked just fine, no failures of any kind. I didn't bench it for accuracy so I can't comment on that first-hand, but I've read that if you sort it by the make of brass, accuracy is pretty good.
I've also had good results with Ultramax in .38 Special and .45 ACP. |

I have had one rifle in here that was blown up due to a case head seperation failure. Want to guess what ammo they were shooting?
I personally would not shoot any in any weapon I own for any reason. |
