Many manufacturers are including the M.O.E. line of components as standard equipment on their AR platform rifles, including, S&W M&P, Bushmaster M.O.E. and Noveske's 14.5" SKINNY CARBINE.

Previously, customers and LE Departments who purchase these rifles are not able to attach the popular Push Button Quick Detach Sling Swivels to their rifles because the M.O.E. I totally agree with your scenario and costing. Your reasoning is dead on for people who are deciding to purchase a new stock. Either the CTR or MOE + IWC's QD.

However, like many IWC components, like the CSAP for UBR, IWC designed this component to meet the needs of a specific niche customer.

1. If you have a MOE Stock already, IWC's MOUNT-N-SLOT is specifically designed to add a QD to the MOE stock, eliminating the need to replace the MOE Stock and buy a completely new one. If you compare the cost + shipping of other bolt-on QD solutions when you already own a MOE Stock, like the Noveske QD or other QD end plate or a clamp around the buffer tube QD, IWC's solution is correctly priced.
