I think this is an excellent product, but the price left a bad taste in my mouth.  I'm of the opinion that this is only cost effective if your gun came with the MOE stock because buying a MOE stock and then adding this would mean you're at the price point of the CTR...  which, in my mind, negates the need for this product.

I would say that the price is not really out of the ballpark when you consider what others are charging for similar sling mounting products, but all those products are terribly overpriced for what you're getting.

I had thought the same thing BUT assume you already have an MOE and now you'd like to add a sling. I added an ASAP to my rifle and looking back, a CTR would have made more sense. Had to get what I could afford at the time. In that case (without the ASAP) this would make a great upgrade.

I'd knock $10 off the price and I think you'd sell quite a bit more.

Also, will these be avail in the typical Magpul colors? (FDE, O.D., Foliage)

Me too...I'd buy one for $19.95 but at $30 it's overpriced.

Yeah, with the price point difference between the MOE stock and the CTR a 19.95 upgrade sounds way more reasonable than 30.
Retail on the MOE at aim is 56 and the ctr 92
Add 30 and you should have just bought a CTR.
The magpul ACS qd swivel mount is priced at $15 there as well so double that doesn't make sense.  I would definitely like one though for 20 or less.

Others are right, it's overpriced.  You'd be better off selling your MOE and buying a CTR than buying this, you also get the locking feature.  Just cause somebody else sells something for $30 so you're gonna sell yours for $30 is ignorant, IMO.  You should be looking to set yourself apart, not blend in with the crowd.

I would be in for one if it were a little cheaper.

I really like alot of the products that you put out and will be buying some in the coming weeks but I will look into another mounting solution for the sling for  now.

I understand that you guys are targeting a specific group of consumers, however the people that are shopping for a product like this are probably intelligent enough to realize that they can just sell the MOE and get a CTR for the same money, and get the friction lock free by doing so.

I think that you are missing out on a lot of sales because of the pricing, and I know that a $20 price tag would still leave plenty room to make a profit on the product.

Look at PSA for instance, Bushmaster sells the same M4 uppers for around $550, and I guarantee that PSA is bringing in more profit selling them at $400 than Bushmaster just by shear volume of sales.

I wish you the best of luck, and I would like to have one... but I cannot justify purchasing one for that price over upgrading to a CTR

Does the Magpul rubber buttplate have to be removed for this to fit or was it taken off for photo clarity?
