1. Any reviews of the trigger available to read?
2. The triggers aren't listed on the Wilson Combat website. When will they be available to purchase?
3. The post above says the triggers are shipping. Which vendors are they shipping to? Any AR15.com supporting vendors?
4. Is there a plan for a single-stage trigger? When?

Can't find them on the website to order.

Can you get trigger pull weights for both stages posted? I would assume they would be about the same for all triggers produced.

The trigger is so new there are no published reviews that I am aware of yet.

The triggers are available for backorder right now-we are shipping the first to our dealers with existing orders. Look for triggers at Midway and Brownells.

Single stage triggers will be available within the month.

The most common cause of spring fatigue in a battle rifle is rust so we went with a high-tensile stainless spring. Our springs are specially designed and tempered exactly for this application and will not fail. If you notice we also wqent to stainless for the springs in our ETM magazine for this very reason-rust=spring fatigue.

Single stage triggers will be shipping soon also-keep on the lookout for information as it is posted.-keep in mind that the two stage is very close to a true single stage. The first stage is very short.

Thsi is not an esoteric trigger..its more like a bulletproof battle trigger with a target pull.

I've been looking for something like this. I want something in my MK12 MOD0 and my other 18" SPR type rifle that was close to a match trigger for precision shooting, but yet fits the bill for a battle trigger if the SHTF. I was looking at the Geissele Hi-Speed but you need an engineering degree to install the thing.... at least that is what I get when I look at the 2 pages of instructions.
Right now I am just running RRA N/M triggers and I they are pretty good but I want something better.

This looks like a winner to me.

A stock Ar-15 trigger is typically somewhere between 6-8 pounds and creepy. These are 3.5-4 lbs and crisp as crackers.

How does this compare to the AR-Gold trigger? I know this is a tactical-oriented product and the AR-Gold is competition-oriented, but would appreciate if you could contrast them. I shoot High Power and am always interested in triggers.

Also, is this available in 4.5# for service rifle competition?

And what about AR-10, specifically DPMS LR-308?

Good questions guys,
First, its is not compatible with AR10/.308 based AR's. The engagements are heat treated. It is compatible with KNS pins. It is not available with a service rifle rated 4.5lbs pull. Now for the subjective question.....

I have not personally shot an AR with the AR gold trigger, so I decline to compare/contrast them. Our trigger is designed with reliability in mind first and foremost. Much work was done ensuring that it was dependable[ many rifles were dropped on concrete with the hammer back and the safety off

]. This robust reliability was at the top of the design priority list, with a quality, shootable trigger pull second on the list. We also want a positive reset, and ease of installation. We feel we achieved all of our goals. If your needs are met by our goals, give us a try. We are convinced you will be extremely satisfied.

As it would appear, the trigger is targeted (pun intended) toward the Defensive/LE/MIL customer. Many of us in that category are a bit more comfortable with something closer to the + 4.5lb mark. Hopefully that is something that is considered down the line.

(Until you try the AR-Gold, don't be so sure of the Geisselle.)
The purpose of MY trigger is to:
1. be reliable
2. not disrupt the sight picture as you caress it to move
3. provide enough resistance to insure you don't sneeze and blow off your penis

A quality trigger is a thing that is unlikely to break, especially in the rarified air at $300 elevation. I cannot believe ANY model available in that category has any significant chance of "breaking". A solution in search of a problem?

If the sight disruption prevents you from defending yourself, that is a more dangerous flaw than the slim likelihood of the thing breaking, or accidentally discharging from impact. So I value the "feel" VERY highly. I really want to HIT what I am aiming at.

I can do that very well with a Geisselle or AR-Gold, and use both (second AR-Gold on the way). If the subjective action of this Wilson trigger cannot meet that standard, all of the reliability in the world is wasted as the trigger waggles the front sight as you squeeze it, missing the damn zombie who eats you alive.

Hard to believe that part of the product development was not to test it subjectively against the others in the space. Somebody at Wilson must have considered HOW IT FELT when shot. Certainly the RELIABILITY engineers don't so dominate the product dev/marketing that nobody there cares for the "feel"??? Seems like a pretty basic "use case" for a new product.

If it is merely reliable and not particularly sweet to tickle, it is worthless. An encouraging word from someone who has used REAL WORLD triggers to compare it would be a requirement for my consideration. Has anyone at Wilson shot the Geisselle and AR-Gold? You are our conduit into the vast resources of the company. I hadn't expected you to necessarily have shot them all...

Guys,
Don't shoot the messenger, I didn't the design the trigger, our engineers did. They looked at every unit available before designing this one.

The TTU (1&2) drop in with no tuning or setup and are proving themselves to be completely reliable and drop safe.

We plan on offering a "heavier" trigger down the road.

The feel of our single stage is as good or better than anything I have tried. Crisp short reset and reliable primer ignition.

If you buy a trigger and aren't completely satisfied, we will want to know about it and will try to rectify it.

I like Wilson products. They always make good stuff. I have a billet receiver for a 6.8 I am building to hunt with and this sounds like what I'm looking for.

The negative comments are not from Team Members it from the fly by night freebee forum flyers.

Sounds like someone got yelled at by his wife/girlfriend, and is taking it out on Wilson's drop in trigger!! It's simple, if you cannot afford it, do not buy it. If you know Wilson, you know they put out top of the line product.

This is NOT GENERAL DISCUSSION, so terms of "art" like F-tard really have no business here.

Wake up and better yet, grow up.

Wilson can justfy the price, due to costs and practices. Don't like it, dont buy it, plenty of others will.

I run a G.A. and KAC in my comp guns, but I will still give this new Wilson a look. Their rep is quite good.

I am going to order a single stage. I AM concerned about reliability had a Chip McCormick when they first came out and it had a habit of double or triple firing. Wilson Combat has a good rep and makes some great 45 mags. Does anyone know if one of the site sponsors carry them?
