I picked up these 6- 20 rounders yesterday from a guy that sold his AR15.
4 are .223, 2 are 5.56.
In the pictures there are some markings that I dont know the meaning of:
1 in a circle, and  UI
Anyone know what these mean?
Also the bottom right 5.56 mag does not have 'COLT AR-15' stamped on it?
what year did this happen?
I've got $60 in the 6 mags ...so think I did OK.
Ron

You did very well. If I recall correctly UI means Universal Industries and is correct for a Colt mag. Not sure what the other symbol means. The .223 marked floor plates are early, too. Nice find!

+1    Universal  Industries

The small circled 1  was found on mags used with the 40rd. tandem clip, that holds 2 mags together end to end.
There's some pics of them in "The Black Rifle"  Vol. 1 in the accessories section on mags.

Hal

BTW:  Turn the mag sideways and the UI becomes  CH........Colt Hartford
