Just to have a nice little piece of history, I guess.

Now if it was the front end of a 601 or XM177E2...then I'd LOVE it

I think he bought this in the ARFCOM EE about 2 months ago for seems like $250.
I was on when it was posted and it sold for that price in minutes!

These were all over funshows a few years back, for like $2.00 each, front and back sections..

Kinda reminds me of the "Pet Rock"

I think it was Model 1 Sales, at the Fall Knob Creek Shoot, they had an entire bucket full of demilled Lower Parts. I found a couple rear halves that had all of the manufacturer markings on them (Colt, GM, H&R) and figured I would grab them. That was until the guy told me they would be $100 each!

Amazing what some people will pay!

"Capt Richardson"

PS: I could see someone trying to "graft" that front half to a Colt SP1 Lower!

John Norrell used to do such a good job of welding them back together that the ATF had to X-ray some of his stuff to prove it was welded.

And that one was not cut through the mag well, so it would be a good candidate...

Shit! You could buy four complete (stripped) lowers with that kind of money.

I could even build a complete KISS rifle with that much cash.

.... and just what are the rules on un-de-milling machineguns?

Sure, it would take a wonderfully skilled aluminum welder, but...

First, make sure you only make it a semi-auto.  That's really about it, provided you don't do it to re-sell.  Techincally you are making a new firearm, not rebuilding one.  You just have to be damn good.
