bottom line.  which twist is the best for the 6.8 SPC?

I have seen 1-9.5, 1-10 and 1-11.

Suggest you contact Tim Hicks @ ko-tonics he will explain the whole thing to you regarding 6.8 SPC and barrel twist/velocity.

1-11 twist is the only way to go less pressure higher velocity.

For all bullets normally used in this caliber (90-120gr) at normal velocities, 1:11" or maybe slower makes the most sense.

The only possible reason for any of the faster twists would be heavier than normal bullets shot sub-sonic for suppressed applications.

I suspect the faster 1:9.5" and 1:10" twists were only ever used for the 6.8 SPC because of the readily available blanks intended for use with 270 Win and MUCH longer, heavier bullets.
