Hi all, I was curious as to what everyone here thinks about new barrel break in. I have not yet built my AR, pieces and parts on order and want to make sure I do things correctly. I have heard and read yeahs and nays on the barrel break in issue, some say it is required and necessary others saying it is not what it's made out to be.
I realize this may stir up a hornets nest but only want to do what is best for my firearm....
Thanks in advance....mack

You're right, lots of opinions on barrel break in...

Here's mine:

1.  Shoot it
2.  Clean your AR to the -10
3.  Repeat
4.  Enjoy your new baby...

Build it with a chrome lined barrel ............and shoot it till you run out of ammo

Then clean it later
