Tag for later What he said I might want to reserve one more special spot..... |

Tag for when I can work on it. I've still got a built lower at home that's waiting on an upper.
ETA: But I did just notice that the OP has the serial # just above mine. |
|
Ummmm.... I must have missed it - where might an interested party obtain one of these highly useful items?
ETA: Also, who is doing the manufacturing? |

I received mine last week...had a couple questions but don't want them to come across like a bitch or dump fest. My AR15.com lower appears or feels like it has a chalky, dull look/feels like thin anodizing or finishing. Anyone have tips or process for deepening the finish or getting matt finish on it after deepening the anodizing? I may be just used to a differnt type of finish as my other two builds were 1) a SunDevil - Nickel Devil coat and 2) Mega Machine Billet upper/lower set.
Thanks, Lee |

Mine looks alot better after I did that. I don't think you'll have the "shiney" look or feel your talking about, though. |

Mine had a slight purpleish tint to it, compared to the upper I paired it with. I gave it a healthy bath in weapon shield clp before I installed the LPK. Now it matched almost perfectly. The upper I used was a no name BCM upper.

I'll be along shortly to plop my pics here. I just got my Arfcom lower today, waiting for a few more parts. ETA, Ok here it is #137 Starts off with the AR15.com lower, of course Add an RRA LPK, an RRA 2 stage trigger, a Hogue grip, a Magpul extended trigger guard, and a Magpul UBR. Stir Gently. Once properly mixed, install a Bushmaster Varminter Upper, which comes with a 24" fluted heavy barrel, 1/9 twist, free float handguard, and BCG/CH. Support your delicacy with whatever bipod you can afford, my currently depleted wallet could only afford a Rock Mount 6-9" Top your creation with a Leupold VX II 3-9x40 mounted in a Larue SPR 1.5 (#104) scope mount, garnished with Butler Creek flip caps. Add 20 round Magpul Pmags to taste Here's the best I could do for pics. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm83/Scott_SVT/004-1.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm83/Scott_SVT/005-2.jpg (Wow, looks like I should have wiped down the gun again, I left fingerprints and oil all over it... ) Great write up.... awesome rifle... thanks for postin' pics! - Clint |

I still haven't built the first one I got, but the second just arrived and is going to have an LWRC PSD upper on it to start with (once I've got my stamp) |
