Now that I am .civ, this is my go to.  Optic is fwd mounted for a pvs 14.

That's simply awesome.  I love the way it looks when paint gets worn off around the edges from honest use!

I thought we were going to post rifles we actually owned.  The Brute Rifle thread in AR-15 covers issued weapons.

Djibouti?

Been there?  I ran the 3 shop...

I hated sending things to you...

No shit.  I got stuck there instead of in the cage becuase of my masters and the fact that I could write "orders."  When I was there we had a pretty good run.  Lots of weapons training, first aid and MCMAP.  The CO and S3 Alpha both thought that we should have a mindset of "training for the next deployment" in a much worse country.  I ran over 100 people through the Combat lifesaver course and got a bunch of greens up to par on the Enhanced marksmans program.  We ended up shooting every week.

But like anything, depends on who is in what position at what time - on how bad it will suck.  We got a very good Sgt. Maj and that helped too.

The receivers are more loose than a cheap whore, and all the anodizing is saying farewell. It's missing a buffer retaining pin and the buttstock screw is stripped like hell so I can't even fix that without some special tools. Theres pitting in the barrel and the stock has a nice crack in it. Despite all of this, it passes annual gaging and inspection and I can kill 40 targets out to 300 meters every time. Also, I took out the burst clutch spring so she's shooting full auto. I'd take this musket over a new M4 any day.

Old pictures but good ones.  The A2 upper is legit used.  However the lower was a chemical accident.

Two Colt M4 marked uppers that I recently received.  They are getting refinished in Norrel Moly Resin Socom black tomorrow.

Exactly. Illegally modifying an issue weapon, than posting about it on the internet, is an EXTREMELY stupid thing to do. I hope you don't get into trouble, but if you do, you deserve it.

Not quite black rifles, but some well worn ACOGs, recentky back from adventures in far away lands!

New home:

Hopefully a couple more months of play and "new" will look a little bit more like "old,"

And finally, some else's toy:

I am sorry i did not get a picture but it was before the digital camera / phone era.
My service rile with 203 fell out my lift truck(it had no doors) into the mud when i hit a nice bump. I hit the breaks at the same time i grabed for the the rifle. It ended up under the tire.
My rifle was turned into a V. Broke the stock at the stock bolt.

Yea, the Larue throw levers don't stick out enough to get polished like that.

Got an ACOG mount that looks like that.  I keep it to remind me what my issued ACOG mount looked like, but I can't bring my self to use anything other then an RCO mount.

I wish you had released the RCO mount before I had deployed.
