Gents,
Title says it all, let's see some honest-to-goodness been-there-done-that, still-working, but beat-to-sh*t black rifles. M. LaRue |
Reserved so I can come back in 5 years and post my used and abused rifle
What do you think this is ? the AK forums j/k |
Sorry - When mine get beat up...They get refinished, rebuilt, or replaced.

I have a rifle that I've been carrying at work for years, has fired thousands of rounds, has been dropped, bounced around, neglected - but it still looks pretty good. I'd be too embarassed to post a pic of it here.

Damn..... Nice Pmag man!!!!! |
this thread is going to be epic.
"Used and abused" is the new |
With the exception of the wear on the delta ring, the rest of the scratches look a bit... gratuitous. |
Post it. It will be a good reference. ML |

Give me a few minutes to pick one of my safe queens to throw down the driveway.

I think the only rifle you are going to see that fits this topic are the colt rifles that work for a living like. I did see the only one posted here was a colt rifle.
For the small amount of pics maybe we have too many safe queens. Yes this includes me.
Sorry, but the rifles I payed for with my hard-earned dollars are the ones I take care of. Sure, they have some dings and scratches, but nothing that would qualify them as beat to shit.

Is that the new fiberglass receiver? Just kidding. |
You beat me to it |

Looks like a wet rag would clean that up... I don't think it fits in the beat-all-to-hell category. Just a covered in clay. |
Look close at the wear on the edges. It has more than any I have ever seen from most arfcom posts. |

The anti-tacticool. When scuffed, add spray paint. Not quite all beat to hell. But I do what I can.

I didnt know 20th Group had SFARTEC qualified ODA's |
Is that a cold steel SRK? Gonna need more pictures of your gear. That looks like an awsome set-up |
+1 I have a whole rack of issue "beat to hell" rifles here. Pistols too. |
Now THAT'S gun porn |

There is a thread like this that you all may like that was posted some time ago hope you enjoy

Looking again, I think you're right. Sorry about that dudes. |

Wow! A midlength in service? |
My CHILDREN will not be abused ................. I'm a good parent. |
My 5.56 still looks great, I cant afford to shoot it.
My 9mm doesnt look so great, but its not exactly beat to hell. My digital camera sucks anyway so a good looking rifle can be ugly and vise-versa. |
My first thoughts as well when I read the thread title. |

Wow.. I can't believe how few USED AR's are out there.. if folks are afraid to use them what good are they?.. But I'm one of those sick individuals that thinks a USED gun looks better than a new one. I'm building a couple myself that I intend to test throughly.. I hope they stand up to the task.
Thank you to the servicemen that posted pics, good to see the AR platform IS one that can stand some use! Thank you for your service. |

I'm not military so I have a question: how does Larue, Daniel Defense, and Noveske gear ended up on issued weapons?
