Yeah. I put it on there to try my hand at outshooting the test target. I kinda like it on there and I just haven't gotten around to taking it off (it has the VFZ attachment instead of the standard qd levers).

Tried the brown / FDE colors out this weekend.

Aervoe is magic paint - get a different color "look" depending on what light you are in. Fascinating stuff really.

Used Aervoe Highland and Coyote.

I really like Field Drab. I kinda want to add some mesh or pinestraw effects to it since I've got another FDE rig, but I can't bring myself to paint over it. It's just so beautiful.

I think Field drab is what I need to match KAC Taupe a little better, Light Coyote is close but just a little off and almost looks pinkish in some light.

The receiver endplate is painted light coyote. I just sprayed an upper, I'll put on the KAC lower and take a pic soon.

Field Drab is dead nuts on KAC Taupe. Those rail covers are factory taupe, so you can see how well they match up.

Ruh Roh... I think I might have found the perfect gun for this ECLAN that hasn't seen any love for a while. Balance is way better than when it was on my CQBR.

agreed.
I think the rails to the end of the barrel trend is just about played out. I'd rather save some weight and put it where my hand stops.

Agreed, a 12" handguard is perfect for me....and it's FDE.

No bearskin

They've still got a batch or 2 left to release. Snag one up. Glad I did.

The lower is KAC Taupe, the upper is Aervoe Light Coyote, the PRI tube is factory FDE (i think its creakote fide) and a factory FDE P-mag.  The pic does a decent job of representing the colors, and how they look against each other.

Yeah, I'll have to get my hands on some when it comes time to start touching up the SR-15, I used the Light Coyote for a couple parts on the SR-15 because its what I had at the time.  The upper is just using the KAC lower for the trigger at the moment, I am more concerned with matching the upper to the PRI tube, the Light Coyote is just a little lighter than the PRI FDE, sometimes it looks kind of pinkish too.  Just thought I would post the pic for sake of comparison, flat dark earth picture thread and all, maybe serve as inspiration to all the black rifles posted with a just a tan grip and stock

S&W M&P 15 OR, but mostly upgraded so more resembles a TS I suppose...  SSE triger, NB M16 BGC, Alpha Rail, Troy folders, Lantac Dragon, Raptor Ambi CH, BAD and Norgon ambi bits, 50* safety, pins and mag release, Noveske End Plate, etc.  Currently testing a Bravo Company Gunfighter Mod 2 grip, which is a bit more upright in angle, which so far I am liking.
