Do all my lowers need to be assenbled before the next AWB? I have seen alot of conflicting info on this. Some are talking about taking pics and everything else. I was under the impression that when the lower comes through your FFL that it is regestered then which would give you the date you would require, then that would be it. If you need to prove it was assembled before the next ban goas in place then what or, are people just trying to cover themselfs?

There is no way to know.  There is always the chance there won't be another ban, but I woudn't put money on it.  We'll have to wait and see the details if it happens to tell.

All we can do is look at the current ban. They had to be assembled into complete rifles (or at least have all parts to assemble one) to be grandfathered. A lower receiver by itself is considered a firearm, but not an AW.

IF a new ban is instituted AND has the same clauses as the old one, yes, you will need to have a complete AW to be grandfathered.

There won't be another ban if you and everybody else stays vigilant and fights for our rights.

How do they track that? Can you just say it was or use the same parts put it on the seperate lowers take pics for Proff...?

I agree for the most part the only thing is though that most people won't even check out the issue and make their own decision and the rest just dont care, we are the minority here. I think were just going to get screwed again, to many people think in our modern society that citizens should not have any guns period, just LE have guns, That would fix everything.

They can always track the serial number to the date of manuf.(which will only cover the lower...)  But after that...it's imposible to tell if it was assembled before or after any ban.  

The next ban will have teeth.

As others have pointed out, you're asking for details on something that doesn't exist. That's why you can not get a definitive answer.

You could write Feinswine and ask her what she'll be introducing next  But there's a difference in what she'd like to have passed versus what can be realistically passed.

Expect the next ban to be worse, and prepare accordingly, I say. Put that lower together with an upper, take a picture and have it notarized. There you go. You can always change out the upper.

We got a big win by keeping the 94 ban from being re-authorized. Now that we have the momentum, we need to keep it. Lets all be sure we vote, and get our non-voting friends to vote. WE, THE (oting) PEOPLE (sadly, I expect there are some reading this who miss the significance of those 3 capatilized words) will need to keep the next one from happening. I'd much rather fight all the new shit that the left wing socialist  throw out, than have to sit around for ten more years waiting for another one to expire.

This last one cost them about 60 seats in congress. Lets make sure that they don't get those 60 seats back. Remind all of your representatives what happened in November of 94 and tell em well work to make sure it happens again, to them if they support a new ban. Course we could always review that 94 election and see about un-electing a few more of the gun-grab supporters who haven't yet been defeated.

Agreed, we need to go n offense and go for 50 state reciprocity for CHL, roll back import bans, gun liability laws, etc. Thus putting gun grabbers on defense.
