Are these sold out already or is there a problem with walk-in sales? I was under the impression that the website was up to date on the inventory. More than a few people I know have drive to PSA to find the item they intend to buy isn't available. Or worst, call and ask if an item is in stock and request them hold it. Even offered a deposit to hold said item just to find out the item wasn't available. It is great having you guys here in Cola. Can you tell me when I can walk-in and walk out with the upper? BK |

Thanks for the interest.
All uppers ready for delivery are sold. There may be some to put out in the storefront this week, if we do not sell out. |

They are in stock. The only model that we were low on was the model with the Midwest Industries rail. We have more rails arriving Monday so there should not be any issue with them not being in stock.
Please call us at 803-760-4004 if you have any questions. Thanks, Jamin |

Are these shipping yet? I got the UPS tracking email yesterday but the UPS website says it still hasn't been picked up.

Thanks for the tremendous support.
Shipping department generates shipping labels in advance of packing. Volume of orders this week has been heavy, but we are catching up. Uppers are shipping out. All of the current orders should be on their way by Friday. |

I bought one of these uppers the day they were announced, completed the build a couple of days ago, and took it to the range today. No pics, but it's a Palmetto 16 inch stainless middy upper, built on a Palmetto lower, DPMS LPK and Magpul MOE (FDE) furniture. I mainly wanted to check it for function today, but decided at the last minute to put an ACOG on it and see how well it shoots.
I had used one of those little lasers that looks like a cartridge to boresight it, which left me way off. After some major adjustments I was on paper and soon had it zeroed. The wind was blowing 20+ mph and it was a challenge just to keep targets up, and we didn't shoot for groups, but golf ball sized chips of clay pigeon on the backstop were no problem. I am extremely happy with this AR, it's all Palmetto (except for the DPMS LPK) and is an excellent shooter and put over 50 rounds downrange today with no problems at all. The lower went together very nicely, and I lucked out with a pretty decent trigger on this one. Two thumbs up for PSA! |

Are there any accuracy numbers from anyone so far?
I'm debating between this and another upper of similar build- the accuracy numbers will be the determining factor. |
|
Are you going to be making another group of these?
I am definately interested in one. |

Yea, I heard about 6-8 weeks just recently at least... I will be ready to jump on these when back available.

does anyone have an accuracy report on these yet? I've asked a few times about the same exact thing with no response; I think everyone is just buying these and stuffing them in a safe. When I get mine, there will be a range report with actual numbers and stuff. |

does anyone have an accuracy report on these yet? I've had mine to the range twice, but have not tried to shoot groups with it yet. I did quick zero on the ACOG and spent the rest of the time enjoying a very accurate rifle. Yesterday I took 3 kids to the range to shoot their .22's. My neice wanted to shoot an AR so I brought along the PSA. She set some clay pigeons on the 50 and 100 yard backstops. She was having trouble hitting them and wanted me to try. I busted 2 clays at 100 yards in about 2 seconds. A few shots later she busted one but it was so hot that she was ready to go instead of continuing. I haven't tried any ammo that would particularly accurate yet anyway. So far I've been shooting WWB and some South African PMP 55 gr soft points. Stuff I've had around for years. |

Barrels shipped yesterday. These will be in stock on Monday or Tuesday

What is a .223 Whyle chamber? Also, I usually see 1:7 or 1:9 twist. Is the 1:8 supposed to be a middle of the road version?

Something like that. it can shoot load inbetween 1:7 and 1:9 lol. but if you get either one it'll be good for you. They only sell .223 and 5.56 in 55gr and 62gr mostly so either one will shot them just fine. A lot goes for 1:7 cuz it can shoot higher load better and is a mil spec. |

The 1:8 ratio is actually the perfect barrel for the 62 grain M855 military surplus ammo. It also offers a slight improvement over 1:7 for those who train with 55 grain M193 ammo. The 1:8 barrels can handle pretty much anything, with decent accuracy, from 55 grain to 77 grain. Anything heavier than that, and you will need to look at 1:7 barrels. |

When I get mine, there will be a range report with actual numbers and stuff. Sorry about ignoring the accuracy report requests, I have not fired the rifle myself yet. My wife took it with her on vacation to her parents house and shot it for the first time a couple weeks ago. She brought back targets that looked promising but this was not using very scientific range methods, more like eyeballed distances using a four-wheeler as a rest mixed with shooting offhand. She did report that there were no malfunctions using PPU M855 and 62grn Brown Bear. When we get time I'll take her to the range and use some good hand loads for more realistic accuracy testing. |

So this upper can fire 5.56 correct? I am debating between either this 16" middy or the 20" rifle-length upper from palmetto. Using for range and probably deer hunting.

Ordered one of these for my wife yesterday! Since I have been getting back into shooting she has been wanting to get back into it with me. I had an extra lower ––so she gets her own rifle now.
Actually thinking about picking up and lower and rifle kit from PSA for my son to put away for when he's old enough and we can build it together. |
