I went out this afternoon to watch Machete and towards the end where Robert DeNero gets out of the cab in the compound. As the camera pans away from the cab on the rear of the bumper there is an "Extremely Rightwing" sticker on the right side. Unfortunately they blurred out the LaRue portion, but you can't mistake the sticker.
Oh, the film was good, corny but good if you like B grade comedy action movies. It was a trailer from the Grindhouse movies and got a good enough response they were able to move forward with the motion picture. |

Hmmm...
Isn't DeNiro's character an stereotypical "evil conservative" bad guy? |
|
On the same topic, according to IMFDB.org, an OBR should be making an appearance in Transformers3.

I guess I'll be the hater, I know its just a movie, but given Rodriguez's nature and the current political climate over immigration it seems a little naive to say this is "just a movie". It's a political statement plain and simple disguised as the classic cheesy action movie that we all love. That being said I love these type movies and have always been a fan of Tarantino's films, Rodriguez not so much. Hell I love Inglorious Bastards and its one of the most hated films on ARFCOM

I thought in Texas they were called "Sumbitches"

Inglourious Basterds (2009) is a war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth, and Diane Kruger. Not based on a true story, the film tells an alternate history of two plots to assassinate the Nazi Germany political leadership, one by a young French Jewish woman who owns a cinema (Laurent) and the other by a team of Jewish Allied soldiers led by Lt. Aldo Raine (Pitt).
So, I read from this release on Wikipedia that it was based on fiction. Not that Wikipedia can be trusted Mark |

No, it was fiction, but I think it was things like the Gestapo Officer in the basement bar drinking beer from a "Das Boot", a large boot shaped glass, and the over the top way in which they introduced Hugo Stiglitz, that folks didn't like. I think some wanted serious saving private Ryan with Tarantino's style, but got Saving Private Ryan meets Pulp Fiction with some Kelly's Heroes thrown in for good measure. |

I just saw Machete and found it EXTREAMLY LEFTWING. Hard to believe anyone here would enjoy it.
To say it is just a movie does not cut it for me. |

I've only seen previews, but I can tell from those that it is a political piece meant to instill that illegal aliens are good, but guns and Republican politicians are bad. I will watch it when it makes it to satellite TV (HBO, Stars, whatever). But I'll watch it the same way I watch Bill Maher shows - with my liberal BS filter on so I don't get flaming pissed and have a heart attack or something. It sounds to me like "Extremely Rightwing" got used in the movie for free. I'm not for lawyering up unless it's in defense of IP, but I could see how some would sue over this if it was used to portray the slogan in a negative light (i.e. used to label the bad guy). |

It is suggested that an armed revolution against Americans is justified to reclaim Texas for Mexico. The movie line goes.... the people did not cross the border, the border crossed the people. Every horrible thing you can think of was done in this movie by characters that believe in border enforcement to include a point blank shooting of a pregnant illegal. |

The same people who control Hollyweird, are the same people who control the banks, and are the same people who control the politicians. Go to any of these places and you'll find the lowest of the low...puppet masters, handlers and minions alike....scum of the lowest order...satan's finest. Do a little research, you'll find a common bond. Oh but hey! Don't hate me for saying it...I didn't make the rules nor the game.

|
Didn't notice the Extremely Rightwing ... pretty cool. I made a GD thread about this movie and the old men got their panties twisted up and accused me of avatar stealing from a popular cartoon that millions of people watch
|
|
I will only watch it if I can do so without putting any money into the liberal pockets of those supporting it, so i will probably just download it, maybe
|
|
Yes, there are some subtle overtones, but I watched it for Rodriguez style, continuation of the Grindhouse series and to see some of the actors that I've known and met for years.
Turn on the BS filter, enjoy the skin factor, guns, girls guns and explosives. |

Thanks for supporting anti-American, anti-Caucasian, liberal propaganda crap.
And to quote someone else- "Why do conservatives keep losing? Because we can't even remove our lips from Hollywood's titty even when they produce a film that encourages violent Latino nationalism." YMMV of course. |

I hate inglorious basterds cause.....
It is horribly slow. there were some good parts, but if they have cut out all the bs it would have been great. but.... I really hate 90% of tarentino's films.. so I may be biased.. |
|
Im pretty liberal (I consider myself a Rockefeller Republican, read Pete Peterson), at least well left of most of you, and even I though this movie was an hour and fourty five min commercial about immigration. It was crap. I dont go to the movies for this. I do, however, love Jessica Alba.

Too much talking and reading for a movie billed as action. |

Im amazed so many ignore the obvious implication of a vigilante border group of 'evil' right wing gun owners executing a mexican woman whos pregnant and can say w/ a straight face its not a hit piece, amongst others
No wonder we are in bad shape, and y'all are funding it! |

You guys take this stuff way too seriously, gimme a break. It's a movie that involves a man swinging through a window while hanging from another man's intestines. You guys can't actually believe this is some type of communist call to action for a latino rebellion, can you?
The movie makes fun of mexican stereotypes just as much as the old "Conservative gun nut" stereotypes. Sensitive ones around here! |

Come down to South Florida where the Mouth Breathers spout anything from some movie that was about over throwing whitey. These are the same people that committed suicide when they got pissed that Pandora wasn't a real place. These are the same people that still support Obama. These are the same people that say 1st Amendment is for everything and everyone except Americans like you or I. These are the people that say Fidel Castro and Mao Zedong are Saints and a Honest Men and that George Bush or Gerald R. Ford are dictators and killers. When you realize that these people are about as fucking smart as toaster crumbs and have the mental capacity of a child's shoe box and what the preach and believe comes from some coked out celebrity or some leftist commie pinko then you'll understand why films like this are a fucking waste of time, space, and oxygen. Trust me..... this movie has an undertone of overthrow whitey and that it's America's fault for Latin America's Problems. I know this through experience and personal history. As a Hispanic myself and a cop down here in which the majority of the people I deal with are from Latin America. They truly believe that shit that is shown in films like this. |

I just read a book that had a LaRue OBR in it. Brad Thor the apostle
No credit to LaRue in the back of the book though. |
