what is the legality of even owning a standard AR15 SA, but also have in posesion , but not in the AR15, all the required M16 FA parts.>:/

Without taxstamp, owning FA parts means a ticked to ClubFed if caught.

Owning FA parts for your rifle is considered having a FA weapon.

No one ever said legislation needs to make sense.

Yep, to paraphrase, federal law says a machine gun is any gun that fires more than one round with a single pull of the trigger, or parts designed to make a weapon fire FA when in control of a person. You can own an M16 parts kit as long as you don't own an AR15. Figure that one out.

And owning an AR15 (Semi-only) and an M16 (Registered) and a spare set of FA parts for the M16 makes the AR15 a machinegun, too.
