Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question on threaded barrel

I just bought pa pre-ban AR and I want to buy a flat top upper and I am thinking of buying the Colt upper from JC Armory.  The only problem is it is an unthreaded barrel.  Is it legal for me to get the barrel threaded to put on my pre-ban lower?  Thanks

i would keep shopping for the right upper.  Flat top uppers from colt are available in pre ban configuration.

yeah u can thread it u  can thread post ban  barrels to the cows come home just u  cant put it on a post gun with out welding something to it since u said your gun is  a pre 94 yeah if u want to id keep looking around  thu
