In my experience, they make fun of everybody. Such as the "Local Man Loses Cowardly Battle with Cancer" story. I mean, who doesn't love cancer patients?

I'm going to have to say that is WAY over the line. Especially if this accident really did happen, and this story was otherwise real.
I can't see how anyone would find this acceptable. I like racy humor as much as the next guy, but come the fuck on. |

They're parodying the hatred that the rest of the media has for GB. You can't follow the Onion and then say you get offended when it hits at something you like. I know Glenn gets a kick out of stuff like this.

Glenn will probably report on it tonight, telling folks how 'horrible' The Onion is, and how 'if they were talking about liberals there would be a media uproar" and "but since it's ME they're talking about, it's apparently funny!" etc.
It's The Onion. They make fun of everyone. |

Liberals always get away with publicly voicing their murderous desires by saying, "Oh, it's SATIRE, weeeee make fun of eeeeeeveryone!!"
They're just a bunch of miserable cunts. Like Jon Stewart, or the fags that wished death on George Bush (and proceeded to make a movie about it). Just wait until a conservative satirist does it! TSHTF! |

The Onion plays both sides of the fence. One of my fave is how Obama Zombies are now lost and confused. If they were on one side, I would agree. They make fun of everyone one. The Onion, in general, does not picking on the subject of these pieces as much as they are making fun of the way the mainstream media does the news.
I can't watch this video at work, but if it's like the other videos I have seen from the Onion, then what they are doing is a parody of the things the people in the msm would say if Beck were in an auto accident. |
