NY-23 Poll: Hoffman +5

With
GOP nominee Dede Scozzafava now out of the race and directing her
supporters to back Democratic nominee Bill Owens, the special election
race for New York's 23rd Congressional District has drastically
changed. Siena Research Institute
conducted a new poll yesterday to keep up with the late-breaking,
game-changing events, and found Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman
leading Owens by 5 points.

Hoffman 41 (+6 vs. last poll, Oct. 31)

Owens 36 (nc)

Scozzafava 6 (-14)

Click here to see all of the polls released in the NY-23 special election.

"With nearly one in five voters undecided the day before Election
Day and voters still trying to comprehend the dramatic withdrawal of
Scozzafava, and her subsequent endorsement of Owens, this is still a
wide open race," said Siena pollster Steven Greenberg. "The two
candidates and campaigns are both in a sprint to try and convince these
undecided voters to support them. Which ever campaign succeeds in
convincing the undecided voters and then getting them to the polls
tomorrow, will likely be looking at a victory tomorrow night

Und 18 (+9)

hopefully, Scozzaliberalc-nt can take enough votes away from owens still and give hoffman the win tomorrow

(though he was +6 yesterday)

The real test will be when the vote is cast.  Scofazza is going to be on the ballot as an (R) so there will be a syphon effect of that.

I think it's funny that dropping out of the race only cost Scozzafava 14 points.

I look forward to getting RNC mail nowadays. I scrawl messages on it, and return it on their dime.

Good stress reliever.

ETA: I will however donate to individual, conservative Republicans. But *I* do the picking and choosing. Not the RNC.

nonono. Support anything with an (R), no matter how odious.

The RNC is the United Way of campaign contribution solicitation.

Why?  The GOP pushed her off of the ticket and forced the State Party Chairman to resign over this.

Next step is getting the County Chairmen who pushed her candidacy out.

Believe it or not, the system is working in this case.  Bad apples are being pulled out of the barrel...

I will not consider any of this a victory until all the absentee ballots, lost ballots, ballots in pollsters trunks etc are counted and all the legal challenges are settled in court. We may know by some time next year.

In all of these states, ACORN volunteers are filling out absentee ballots as quickly as they can.

Dems= Cheat to win, start fights if you lose.

Ayups.  You can no longer trust a D or and R to actually represent you.  It means that you need to actually learn what the candidates represent, and how they stand on things.

In otherwords, homework doesn't stop when you get out of school.
