Regardless of his political opinions, Robin Williams is the funniest human being I have ever seen.  I've never seen anyone as quick with a line, and every time he appears on some show, he leaves me rolling.

One example - Some award show was giving Gary Marshall an award, but his sister Penny was busy directing "Awakenings", the story about a bunch of people confined to a mental hospital in the 1960's who all had very similar but bizarre symptoms due to damage to a particular part of their brains (not funny, but bear with me).  Robin Williams played the doctor in the (serious) film.  Anyway, they went to a live camera at the scene, and Penny was standing there congratulating Gary for winning the award, and said "I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but we're filming on location here at a [red]menstrual[/red] hospital."  Not 1/2 second later Robin pops up from the background and says "A menstrual hospital?  It's a period piece!" [:D]

Oh well, guess you had to be there.

Sam pushed the envelope harder than any Standup Comic in his time. His only regret would be that he didn't bring his words to bigger audiences.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

You are a man after my own heart. His one about John and the wildcat in the tree is one of the funniest things that I have ever heard. I guess it helps if you've been coon hunting though,LOL.

I myself am a big Chevy Chase fan. I think if I could hang out with anybody for a day I would pick Chevy, who barely edged out SteyrAug ([%|])

The first time I ever heard Marcell and his talking chainsaw I had been about halfway through a good stiff drink. Jack Daniels through the nose is NOT an experience that I care to repeat anytime soon! But it was worth it[:D]

He was one of my favorite funny guys. His "Smart Bomb" joke lines was great, among others.

2-dimensional-obscenity-shock humor is pretty rudimentary and all too easy. That's why so many examples exist.

Humor that exists on many different levels and remains cutting/witty/irreverent/intelligent/absurd and hilarious at all levels is difficult to near-impossible.

NUMBER ONE FUNNY:  Monty Python.

Carrot Top.  I've got a softspot for wacky inventions.  Who wouldn't find a Dr. Kevorkian bath toy which consists of a rubber ducky attached to an electrical cord, high heels with training wheels, or a dog leash equipped with an air bag in case he's hit by a car funny?z
