His name is coming up a lot these days, because so many of the senior Republicans in the State are tainted by the utility deregulation scandle.

And yes he is VERY conservative, remember he comes from a openly Socialist country, he has experienced its evils in its full force.  He is no friend of big or intrusive government-which actually may be the biggest thing working against him getting the nod, because California Republicans are very fond of big government themselves!  Especially in the Courts and in Law Enforcement.

I heard last week that he would not be running due to the political climate.  He's are only hope and maybe should re-consider, or it's four more years of Davis (how easily the voters will forget or blame someone else).

arnold could get elected in a heartbeat.  the conservatives love him, the liberals will vote him in because hes popular and so automatically they think he's smart regardless of his politics.  hell, if i lived in the republic of kalifornia i'd vote for him.

Meaning that he doesnt have a answer to the power problem either I take it?

I got this by the way off of MSNBC News last night.  They had former Labor Secretary Robert Rich on, and he was calling his own party brain dead.  They actually used the Parrot Sketch from Monty Python to illustrate!

Both parties are up to their eyeballs in corruption surrounding this power deregulation mess.  But with Schwarzenegger the GOP has a outsider to run for the post, and the Dems are pretty much stuck with Davis, unless the DNC wants to come in from the outside and run Finestine as a insurgent canidate against the state Parties choice.

You have to figure if he lost the election, he would have the best line,
  "I'll Be Back"

Charleton Heston is a past president and member of the SAG, Tom Selleck is a SAG member.

Hollywood is a closed shop, you have to be a member of SAG if you want to appear in a movie.

"But he'd face unique problems: That name won't fit on a bumper sticker. There's the
thick Austrian accent. And millions of photos exist showing him brandishing scary, bazooka-size firearms. "I believe in sensible gun controls," Schwarzenegger says. "Definitely, I'm against assault weapons."
He's more moderate than his screen image. For example, he supports abortion rights.
"I'm a strong believer in social programs that work. I call myself quite liberal on those issues. But I'm conservative fiscally.""

Morons will vote for anyone as long as the candidate has the correct political party label after their name.

Hey why don't you guys urge sylvester stallone to run for president? He used lots of guns in his movies.

And fellows, don't forget his "delightful" wife.  No one could ever accuse her of being conservative.

1)A half baked Republican is better than any Democrat.
2)Republicans have to be more liberal in California.
3)Other party members would influence him to be more conservative.

He has to be better than Gary.
