"An Armed River of Guns"

WMBD/WYZZ – CAPITOL HILL - "An armed river of guns." Those are the words of Illinois Senator Dick Durbin concerning high powered U.S. guns and increasing Mexican drug violence. Tuesday a Senate hearing focuses in on Mexican drug cartels and border violence. Also in attendance at the hearing, a number of federal agencies –– plus, a political science professor from Mexico. Senator Durbin blames the violence on readily available guns in the U.S. Others agree, some border state officials have called on President Barack Obama to send U.S. military troops to border hot spots.
