I have noticed a BIG absence of any types of political rants here on the GD board.

It's almost the new year (where I am at anyways)and the shit's being stirred.
NOW is the time for the Florida AR members to get political and get connected to keep Aunty Janet "Shakey" Reno out of Florida office.
The whores are at it again...

This was on the WorldNet Daily site:

Rosie O'Donnell stumps for Janet Reno at Miami fund-raiser

By Ken Thomas
MIAMI -- Chalk up an endorsement for Janet Reno: talk show host Rosie O'Donnell.
O'Donnell played host to a $250 per person fund-raiser on Sunday for Reno, the former U.S. attorney general and a Democratic candidate for governor in Florida.
``When I heard that she was running, I called up her office and told her I would do any and everything I can,'' O'Donnell said.
``I told her I'd do whatever she wants, right up until Election Day.''
The fund-raiser hoped to raise about $50,000 for Reno, one of five Democrats attempting to unseat Gov. Jeb Bush, the president's brother.
``We share a real dedication and commitment to doing something about the children of America, to give them a future and make a difference for them,'' Reno said. ``It's really wonderful to have her on my side.'' Asked about her chances of defeating Bush, Reno said bluntly: ``I'm going to win.''

O'Donnell, a foster parent, said she admired Reno's work on behalf of children and orphans.
``It's a big problem in the state of Florida. There are over 3,000 children today available for adoption, free for adoption in the state, in foster custody, with nowhere to go,'' O'Donnell said.
``Chances are they will age out of the system, they will go right into welfare and into prison, so we need to do better for this generation of kids.''
The comedian owns a home on Miami Beach's Star Island, a gated community of mansions along Biscayne Bay. The event was held at the home of Adrienne Arsht, chairman of the board of TotalBank, in a neighborhood of waterfront mansions once home to Madonna and Sylvester Stallone.
The gathering was closed to reporters. Reno and O'Donnell made brief remarks outside the wooden gate set along a 15-foot hedge.
O'Donnell, an outspoken critic of the National Rifle Association, has become politically active in Democratic causes and once engaged in a memorable on-air, tense debate on gun control with Tom Selleck.
Analysts said the appearance with O'Donnell could pose problems for Reno when she attempts to court voters in north Florida and the Florida Panhandle, which is heavily composed of gun owners, sportsmen and military personnel.
``Any notion that there might be gun control is absolutely the kiss of death for any support in north Florida,'' said Susan MacManus, a political scientist at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
``Anything that connects Reno to gun control means Democrats lose big in north Florida.''
Reno supported the Brady Bill while serving as attorney general under President Clinton. The gun-control measure required background checks for gun buyers.
Campaign manager Mo Elleithee said Reno would support ``commonsense gun safety measures'' and would appeal to voters throughout the state.
``She believes in an individual's right to own firearms as long as these people demonstrate the they know how to operate them safely,'' Elleithee said.

I knew about this, not shocking at all.  I guess I am no longer amazed at what these idiots do/support anymore.

Let's look on the bright side. This will give us an excellent chance to start an underground resistance movement!

This is neither a surprise nor newsworthy.

My only question is this:  Where does Rosie get off poking her nose into Florida politics?  Does she live there and can she vote there?

Hey!  We like this.  Any time we can get a troll [:K] like Rosie to 'come out' for a political hack like Reno...this is GOOD!

Imagine what the Boys in the Backroom over at RNC HQ are thinking right now:  [:D]  This endorsement will help cement up the liberal soccer mommy anti-gunners, the we-hate-GWB anyway-no-matter-WHAT crowd and the rest of the usual suspect fringe elements that make up the majority of the Democratic party.

The rest of Florida's voting public will be disgusted and turned off by the Rosie and Reno alliance.  I would love to script a campaign against Reno with this ammo.  Northern Florida especially would vote against virtually ANY opponent that ran against Reno...especially now.

Political Reality:  In 90+ precincts around the country (Massachusettes, California, Minnesota, and South Dakota notwithstanding.) liberalism is DEAD.  (Dammit, that's what make's Jeffords turncoat such a disgusting turn of events!  He put a true minority...the very liberal wing of the Democratic party in power in the Senate! [pissed][pissed][pissed].)

Running from the center is what gave Clinton the support he needed to win.  Reno is really not a threat, since she floats in from the fringe left with a horrific record.  She is an easy target.

Good for us.  We need all the Rosie and her ilk we can get.

From a political junkie in the Commonwealth.

Sic Semper Tyrannis!

Yea...she's got a mansion in an exclusive gated community in south Florida.  See, she lives there, protected by her armed bodyguards, who also escort her adopted kids to school...while she rants about us law abiding gun owners being a scourge on society.

Disgusting hag!

I think Janet and Rosie should offer their services in Afghanistan as Taliban interrogators.  Poor bastands will think they died and went to hell.

Hmmm...
Taliban...
Caliban...
Floriban...

Same bullshit... Different state... I just hope smart folks don't sit at home and not vote. The Goridians are probably betting on just that...

I think Rosie will prove to be the best thing to happen to the Florida Repub party...

P.S. $5 says that Carol Roberts jumps her dumbass self back in the news working for Janet Beano's run for gubnor... Ya'll better not ever let her count a damn thing ever again down there in south Fla... Give her a pencil, a tv camera, several jars of peanuts, a case of cookies, and a bunch of ballots to rub like hell on, and she is on a mission from God...

Talk about backtracking.  This is a flat out lie to get votes.  The old "common sense" phrase, which, to people like Tubby, cancer bitch,  and Shaky means gun bans.  I guarantee if Tubby is invovled, gun control is too.

There for all you Florida boys is a project.  Boycott this bank and inform all your fellow gun owners to this, as well as anyone else who hates the entire Clinton/Gore/Jeno triumvirant.

As I see it, there's three things that will severely restrict Butch Reno's appeal to the great unwashed masses:

1) Waco. Has anyone forgot Reno gave the go-ahead on that goatfuck?

2) Elian fiasco. There's not a Cuban in Florida who'll vote for Reno after that goatfuck.

3) Parkinson's Disease. Between taking medication, which will affect one's thought's and/or actions, or the disease itself, which robs the body of energy, Reno won't have the energy to maintain the stamina for being Gov.

Not to mention all the Clinton/Gore goatfuckings Reno swept under the rug as Attorney General. She'll get hammered in any sort of live debate & should get hammered in any sort of "moderate" media.

Saw this on the ticker tape on CNN yesterday, during the showing of the Best Ranger Competion and Matine Super Squad.  Makes me want to puke, Rosie needs to go back in the closet and weld the door shut.
Let's hope that Florida pulls through, maybe Reno won't even get the Dem's nomination.
