When WE talk about, critique, or come right out & SAY that a (name your rifle) is actually a little better than an AR at such & such, I understand and even agree sometimes. [In my best Billy Jack voice] But when some friggin wombat with all the mechanical aptitude & skill of my five year old dupes newbies into buying his garage-made Mickey Mouse wannabe monstrosities, criticizes Shawn, AND MY ARs .......... I, just,,, go,,,,,,,,, [red]BERSERK!!![/red] |

http://hk54.gunserver.com/forums/showthread.php?s=ba950960da80787194579432df85330f&threadid=564 MetalKnight::: Warning - Do Not Do Business With Top Notch Warning - Do Not Do Business With Top Notch. Top Notch. Run by Wade Bailey. The guy has no clue how to run a business. Beware if you order from him, but if you do, use a credit card so you can dispute the charges if he does not deliver. I ordered a SEF semi-auto plastic grip frame & Selector from him for my SW5. I called him a day or so later and added two 30Rd mags to the order. He only ships weekly, so I knew he had not shipped yet. Wade promptly told me my original order was packed and ready to go so he will add the mags to the order and repackage them. A week later I get the package. Nice grip frame, selector is there...but no mags. A nice invoice is in the box showing that I was charged for the entire order including the mags (and a hefty $20 Shipping & handling charge!) Bummer. I figure a quick call will fix it up. Called Wade. He was apologetic and said the mags would ship out the next Monday (this was a Thursday). A week and a half goes by...no mags. Another call to Wade. He sounds like this is the first he ever heard of this problem but assures me that it will go out the next Monday. Alright, I thought, maybe he is too busy to take care of his customers. More time passes but I now get a call from Wade who promptly tells me that he has a problem with my "story" about missing mags. He says that the UPS invoice shows a 2lb order and that is what the grip frame, selector & two mags would have weighed. I say Ok, I still have the box & original contents of peanuts...so I check it. It does indeed say 2lbs on the UPS label. Our conversation is escalated by Wade as he all but calls me a liar & a thief! He begins screaming at me as I tell him that he is wrong, there were no mags (but I was sure charged for them) in the package and I sure as hell do not like his attitude calling me at home and telling me that I am a liar. He shows his true colors here. I break out my package scale & weigh all components including the box & peanuts & even the invoice. 10 3/4 ounces all together. After I thoroughly explain to Wade that I am not a thief and have no desire to "bankrupt" his "company" he finally flippantly admits that maybe when he repackaged the items (they were sealed before I added the mags to my order, he says) that perhaps he weighed the components but did not package them all. But he loudly said that he doubted that this could happen because he runs the company and does ALL the order pulling, packing & shipping. Finally, after causing me way too much aggravation and heated debate he finally says that he will take me at my word and send the mags and hangs up on me. |

I have had very few business deals go sour in my lifetime but never have I had the pleasure of having a business owner call me at home to tell me that I was a liar & thief. Grrrreeeaat customer service. This guy will go far. I am going to give him 4 days to get those mags here. After that I will dispute the charges to my credit card company and let them deal with ol' Wade. As my wife will attest, I spend WAAAYYYY too much money on toys. Money that will NEVER again be found in the hands of Wade Bailey (Top Notch). And only in the most grudging way possible will I ever do business again with Todd Bailey & Special Weapons. I will also fervently try to dissuade ANYONE from doing business with this charlatan. Thanks again Wade, for the lovely time and stimulating conversation. You went out of your way to lose a customer today and by George, you did it! MK ________________________________________________ Todd::: I talked with wade today he sent you out mags again, the first shippment was weighed by Top notch and the weight was double checked by UPS and it shows the mags were in the first box, anyway, he out of his owe pocket shipped you 2 more... What a bastard you get a box that is heavy enough to have a grip frame and 2 mags, and you say you do not he send you 2 more and you bitch at him.... That wade guy what a jerk!!!! |

________________________________________________ MetalKnight::: Todd, He did not ship the mags to me. Regardless of what the UPS label reads. The mags were not in the box. The box was sealed in the original plastic tape. He goofed the order, pure and simple. I sure as heck am not in the business of defrauding anybody, nor would I make a big deal out of two measly magazines. Woo hoo, a $110 order. Yeah, thats worth my integrity. He could easily cover himself in the future if he comes up with an inventory system, which he admittedly lacks. I am glad to hear that he is sending out the mags that I purchased. These however, will not be "two more" mags - they will simply be what I paid for. And I swear to God almighty that the mags were not in the package. Was Wade trying to rip me off? I doubt it, but he needs to learn how to run a business, cover his bases and keep customers happy. This was a small order but it was my first order to Top Notch. I spend A LOT of personal money in this field and I run my own business in the field as well and service customers who may be interested in these products. What could have been a good business relationship is now ruined. I will never again spend a penny at Top Notch. Thanks. ________________________________________________ Todd::: You got your grip you got your mags and now you do not want to do business with them again!!! This makes sence To avoid this again Top Notch will not digital Photo all parts on the scale with the box so this can be check and verified later as to what is in the box. Top Notch sells $20,000 of Special weapons parts a month and you are the first to have an issue. And Top Notch covered you and sent you the parts that you say were not in the box. If this is not customer service I do not know what is!!! |

________________________________________________ garys::: Top Notch I ordered from this company and thought their service and pricing was great. ________________________________________________ Hatch::: I have bought from TOP NOTCH twice and was pleased both time. As far as the 2lb package, I ship things everyday at work. I sometimes guess the weight of a package. As far as it missing 2 mags and the invoice showing the 2 mags, it could be a simple mistake. You state that you ordered a grip frame and selector. Then you added two mags later. It is possible that your stuff was already packaged and awaiting shipment. Wade may of updated the paperwork but just forgot to add the mags. I think that would be a easy mistake to make.(I have made it). As far as him only shipping once a week, alot of small companies do that when they start out. No big deal. Good luck on getting the mags in 4 days. This is Christmas time and He is in AZ, you are on the East Coast it will take 3 to 4 days during NORMAL times. Good Luck Charles BTW if you dispute the charges then you must ship your stuff back. If you keep any of it then you must pay ALL of the charges. All TOP NOTCH has to do is show proof that your order was shipped(tracking#) and that you received it. Unless you return the grip frame and selector then you can not dispute the charges. ALSO NO NEED TO POST THIS IN ALL OF THE FORUMS. THAT IS BEING A ASS. I am not flaming you, just stating my opinion on this mater. ________________________________________________ |

Someone care to briefly clue the rest of us in on why Todd is targeted?
|
|
And who is the pink geek with the rifle? Todd?
If so, I can understand why he is a target. |

This goes back about three or four years when Special Weapons/Todd Bailey started up. There was much excitement about his HK clones at like 1/3 the cost of a "real" HK. There were delays. Then there were delays. Followed by more delays. People had deposits for rifles for like a year.
When the rifles arrived they failed to meet with the promises. They were basically fair looking but couldn't launch two bullets down range in a row. Lots of issues which Toad never made good on. |

Post the "Burning"!!! Interested minds want to hear about it. Send me the pics and I'll host them!

jojo, check your email. I sent the web page to you and someone else who offered to host it. Thanks guys.
BTW, I must have lucked out with my SW3. Actually I'm pretty happy with it, but I did have to wait 6 months to get it. I think most of the problems were with the SW5s. |
