Actually, they told me before I found it. I ate it anyway. They first said it was a worm, which ARE kinda gross to eat because it's like eating dirt and tiny rocks, so I was happier it was a grub.
Every year some of the teachers at my daughter's school ask me to come in to talk about entomorphy (eating bugs). Usually it's when they are studying other cultures or insects. I always bring in some roasted giant mealworms, chocolate-dipped and plain. Most of the kids have a blast eating them or at least grossing each other out. Some don't like them or don't eat them for religious reasons. Now, every time I walk into the pet store the guy at the counter asks, "who I'm feeding this time?". LOL
I also bring bugs into my adult survival class when we hit the "water & food" portion of the class.
