Hi,

Is it safe (from the elements, not theft) to store ammunition (12ga, 9mm, .308), MREs and water (Aqua Blox/Aqua Liters) in Rubbermaid storage containers in a storage area such as a toolshed, or are they best left in the house?

I'm trying not to put all my eggs in one basket (i.e. outside or a kitchen cabinet), at the same time I feel that my emergency stuff (water and MREs) along with my range ammo is taking up enough space to pay rent. The defense ammo stays inside.
