Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - which collapsible stock ?

ok so what's the good the bad & the ugly in AR15 collapsible stocks. I saw one at a gun shop that they said was a Colt with 3 position and steel tube another was a Bushmaster plastic must of had allum tube was a lot lighter {also cheeper}.which do the Military use on the M4 ?.also is the piston in the stocks different.   Thanks.

Military slider sucks, it rattles no matter what, so out comes the OD duct tape to quiet it down.

The new A-4 3 pos. is about 5/8" longer has a strong tube, and makes no noise whatsoever, at about $70. without inners at brownells.

The BUSH MASTER has the same one but with 6 pos. and all the inners for about $90.
