Wasn't there a joke about a baseball pitcher named Mel? Mel Famey? He'd drink a Schlitz or two between innings. The other team called Schlitz "The beer that made Mel Famey walk us."

Price Chopper beer? Used to shop there all the time. I saw some "generic" beer there: white can, black print. Never saw Price Chopper beer, that's got to be some sort of classic.

now guys the old schlitz was pretty good beer in its time.
i'm not talking aluminum can stuff either,this goes back to having to have a can opener. i distincly remember when schlitz got bought buy strohs and went fromm the short fat 12oz can to the tall skinny 12oz can. i bet some of you beer drinkers can't remmeber the old rip top can with tabs that came off. if you want ggod american beer drink Old Style boxer |
