Finally! I went to the court room and spoke to the DA's secretary to get the release paper fom him. Good thing my lawyer was in court that day and even better that my wife came along. She went in there and raised hell for a few minutes and sure enough they gave her the release paper! My wife is a good woman and she has a way of getting things done through all the red tape. Anyway I got to the property room and he hands me the rifle in the case first. I open the case to inspect it and it had a big 'evidence' sticker on it? I also see that the paper from the DA has a docket number on it. This docket # has to be from my stun gun case, but you see how they lumped this all together to cover thier butts. The weapon itself was absolutely perfect except for a good finger fuc**ng that they gave it. Other than that it had a huge white plastic tie strap through the action which was signed by an officer. I could not lock the bolt to the rear at first so I had to cut it off for a function check. Everything was as I left it, it also appears to be unfired, if anything maybee one or two rounds but I don't think so. I gave it a good cleaning before I packed it and it was still lubed and had no rust anywhere. Some of my ammo in strippers were written on with the letters AM, for armor piercing I suppose. It was on the green tip M-855 strippers. I will post a few pics of this stuff most likely tomorrow. Thanks to everyone here for helping me out. It is great to have my AR15 sitting beside me as I write this. Gotta go back to work for a short while about 2 hours. Be online later this evening or tomorrow. Thanks again for everything.

Now, let's see...my gran'daddy told me the police were there to protect us from the bad guys....I believed it for a while. Then I realized they were really, in large part, just a M_____ F______! bunch of enforcers for an out of control, anti-constitutional bunch of government tyrants! Are those words too strong?

I didn't fight in Vietnam to give another man his freedom only to come home and give up my own!

The police will get my respect when they obey their oath and act in a humble, honorable manner.

Congrats. It's a freaking shame that you could have bought another one with the legal fees it cost you to recover this one. It's a shame that innocent people have to incur major expense to maintain their innocence and if they don't they are presumed guilty and taken for a bumpy ride through the system. But at least there is an option to getting TOTALLY fu*ked. You can just get partially fu*ked.

Get your other case through the system and then go for the juglar with the media.

This site has a nice article titled "AR-15 Vs. M16 Parts." I used it to confirm that all my parts are AR-15. But, at the same time I noted that alot of AR Parts that I have seen at Gun Shows are actually M16 parts.
