Ok. So I have been wanting to start my own business and finally came up with an idea. I have already recruited 2 local operators in my area, and we are starting a security consulting force. Now I know what some of you may be thinking - there is no demand for this type of thing anymore. Well, now that international transport companies are going to be hiring security for their ships to guard against pirates in the open waters of the world, I figured now would be a great time to get this thing moving.
I need some suggestions as to what type of equipment I need - specifically weaponry. We already have two contracts in the works. Both are on mid-size ships running round trip transports across the Atlantic. One of my operators specializes in distance shooting (he shoots ~2 inch groups at our 100 yard range consistently). The other specializes in close quarter combat (his dad was a local sheriff and let him work out on the 3d simulator on numerous occasions). Basically, we all have the training, we just need the weapons. I'm thinking we are going to need some sort of .50 caliber rifle for distance shooting at small approaching boats. Something that could penetrate the hull or motor and detonate on impact, disabling any potential intruders. What other options do we have here? As for myself and the close quarters combat expert, we will be running patrols on and around the boat and need something reliable and tactically intimidating. I have a p22 pistol, so in terms of sidearms we are already covered. We really need suggestions on AR15's, preferably something that fires a pretty hefty round (.22LR, .223). We aren't going to be able to get fully automatic weapons, but I've heard the hell fire trigger systems do a pretty good job of simulating fully automatic fire. We need an AR setup that can be outfitted with various optics and mock grenade launchers to scare any incoming boats off. Any suggestions you guys can make would help us out alot. Thanks for the responses in advance Ozzy L. Operators Unlimited, LLC |

Lord, you're calling your two guys operators.
ETA: I think this is a joke. He's referring to .22 as a heavy round. |

2 in groups @ 100yds That is on average. Like I said he does that consistently. Ive seen him shoot .75 inch groups before |
